This is a thread for comparing prospects to each other and ranking them. Anyone can post a list of prospects of the same position and people respond with best to worst. Please rank for our system if requested. for jets- Jeremy Beal Aldon Smith Justin Houston Mason Foster
I'll be the first, since no one has replied. 1) Jeremy Beal 2) Justin Houston 3) Aldon Smith 4) Mason Foster Jeremy Beal: Would be the perfect 3-4 OLB for the Jets. Good size and has some coverage skills. Oklahoma has moved Beal around and has dropped him into coverage. Since the Jets beat the Colts were probably drafting, at Best, around #26....we might just miss out on Beal by a few picks. Justin Houston: Good solid player, again has decent size and could be an option for the Jets. Gets to the QB, not as polshed in coverage as Beal. An option in late rd 1. Aldon Smith: Wasn't on my radar early cause I didn't expect him to declare. Almost a freakish athlete, long arms and is a pass rush terror. Has Ok size, needs to bulk up a little he's around 260. High risk/reward player at 3-4 OLB. Hasn't had much skill in coverage, but is an incredible football player. Mason Foster: Probably the purest, most natural football player I've seen this year. Incredible vision and instincts. Foster is all over the field blowing up plays. The Best defensive player in the Pac-Ten and second leading tackler in the nation this year. Has averaged 12 1/2 tackles per game. Undersized to play in Rex's scheme and probably would be better in a 4-3 system. That being said, I would never underestimate Mason Foster, I'd want him on my team if I was a Head Coach.
