Considering Slater's lack of length (6'4", 33 inch arms), I think NFL teams will be looking at him exclusively at guard. Given the premium for true, NFL-sized tackles and the greater need for tackles than guards for the teams drafting up to 22, does anybody else think that Slater might actually slide to the Jets at pick 23?
No and I'm not entirely sold on the fact that he won't be a tackle. I've honestly never seen him play but he's billed as the next Zach Martin/Nelson if he plays guard and some think he'd challenge Sewell for the top tackle spot if they both played.
His versatility is actually very important for many teams. He will be long gone even before the 20th pick.
