I'm with you guys, DMC is the 3rd best back in the draft IMO. I don't care what order they're drafted in. Mendenhall is the complete package. Who ever drafts him is getting a stud.

    Mendenhall, Stewart, DMC.

I've seen nothing from Mendenhall to put him over McFadden, Mendenhall and Stewart is still a toss up if you ask me.

If you look at Mcfaddens legs he just looks like he is going to get killed in the NFL. After a few weeks of getting crushed in the hips and knees he won't be the same player.

  7. I like Mendenhall..but I'm sorry...no one else in this draft has this 5th gear DMAC does..He's still my # 1 RB.. TOO much over analysis in his direction.

Kurt....Totally agree DMC has that special breakaway speed, no question. I just have concerns of his "toughness" and running between the tackles. Plus, he does have some off field issues.......2 Bar Fights, 1 Child and 2 Kids on the way from 2 different mothers. IMO, the off-field stuff shows a lack of maturity and discipline. When a team invests multi-million dollars on a player, these concerns raise red flags.

i like Mendenhall, he does everything well and i have little doubts, that he?ll be a day 1 starter and will have a good carrer. But DMC and Steward have something special. DMC is a playmaker with incredible athleticism every time he touches the ball, you hold your breath. And Steward is a very rare combination of great Size, great balance and a unbeliveable speed for a big guy.

Mendenhall probably is the best back in this draft, but won?t be more than A RB on the pros. DMC and Steward have the tools to be THE RB. The bust potential of steward and expecially DMC is higher without a doubt, but the upside is, too. imo, the risk/reward-ratio says:

    1. McFadden
    2. Steward
    3. Mendenhall

WW, I've leaped Mendenhall over McFadden as well

For one thing he's a much safer pick from a character POV .. MUCH SAFER .. its not even close

For another thing, while I love McFadden's speed and his upside is immense, Mayock's criticisms are not without merit .. he does have skinny legs and he's not a physical runner .. I could see a scenario whereby his skills don't translate to the NFL as well as Mendenhall's, who is really the Prototypical NFL feature back

All things considered, and that entails more than just talent because the NFL Graveyard is littered with talented misfits

    1. Rashard Mendenhall
    2. Jonathan Stewart
    3. Darren McFadden

I don't like highlight videos because they are designed to make the player look good, to highlight his best moments and show the player only in his most positive light, and of course to leave the viewer with the most favorable impression

That's why I like game film .. if its a RB, show me every carry he took in a particular game

I found such a video for Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois Vs Wisconsin, condensed into a few minutes and showing every carry he took in that particular game

For the serious draftkinks who are not as familiar with Mendenhall as they are McFadden, I suggest you watch it with an open mind .. and this was not his most impressive performance either, that came verses USC in the Rose Bowl {?}, when he steamrolled the Trojans for what was it, 240 Yards rushing? .. but this one is worth watching as well

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27cxAs7mGSs

The kid is so much the Prototype .. 5' 11"/225/4.4's .. the burst, the power, the Jukes, the balance, between the tackles, outside the tackles, lowering his shoulders and gaining yards after contact, and he's a great kid too

I loved Mendenhall at Illinois. Maybe he is a better pro prospect than McFadden if you want the total package.

I'd love to have him, but I think I might prefer the pass rusher.
