If I was starting right now with a QB that has been drafted recently..

    1.Patrick Mahomes
    2.Sam Darnold
    3.Kyler Murray
    4. Joe Burrow

Then we get to Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson..maybe Baker Mayfield.

This isn't about accomplishment..just how I view near and long term potential.

So Sam Darnold and a 4th round rookie Qb are ranked 27th, while Josh Allen (a rb) and 5th round rookie Qb are ranked 19th...

Not surprising, the Pats have a career backup and unproven 2nd year player at the position now. Oh, and they just lost one of the greatest to ever play the position.

Rankings rarely deal with the actual talent / production at the QB position, more than likely wins to an extent. Pats don't have a QB obviously with that sort of positive metric. Anyone with a brain knows Darnold is better then Josh Allen. Most passing metrics prove that.

Should you take those rankings seriously? No.
