1. Brian Billick 2. Rex Ryan 3. Russ Grimm I think these guys have the toughness and experience to lead the Jets. I'd prefer Billick as a former HC but either of these long-time coordinators would also be fine. I'd be happy with any of the three. We could sure use the defensive makeover that Billick or Ryan could give us. And both are experienced in the 3-4. Of course I wanted Cowher and Spags even more but I don't see them in the mix any longer.
Assuming we get a new DC, and hopefully a new OC, my top 3 is the same as yours. I'd rather have Billick or Rex than Spagnuolo, though.
I'm not giving up on Cowher until we hear the press release on the Jets new coach. 1. Cowher 2. Marty Schottenheimer 3. Shannahan 4. R. Ryan 976. B. Schottenheimer 491227. B. Callahan 9999999. B. Sutton

per Rotoworld: "WFAN's Mike Francessa mentioned on his show Monday that Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spanuolo's interview with the Jets didn't go that well. Francesa has good ties with the Jets, notably GM Mike Tannenbaum. We would take this news seriously, even if it sounds speculative. Spagnuolo may also prefer another destination, so this could be preemptive spin. Either way, it's looking less likely that Spags will be coaching in New York next year"
Rex Ryan Bill Cowher Steve Spagnuolo Russ Grimm I will not watch a game if they hire Brian Schottenheimer
Yeah, I never really saw him coming to the Jets. If he really wanted the job he would have been prepared.
Rex Ryan Billick No one else is up there on my list. I'm assuming Parcells, Cowher, and Shanahan are out.

I got a lot more interested in Rex Ryan after seeing his defense just destroy Miami last weekend. They were unstoppable. Let's bring some of that ferocious play to Jet land.
