Jets | Ramsey working as No. 1 QB
    Fri, 23 Jun 2006 13:46:16 -0700

ESPN's John Clayton reports New York Jets QB Patrick Ramsey is currently running as the team's No. 1 quarterback

Wierd, all these reports saying how Ramsey has been struggling in mini camp then KFFL reports him as winning the QB spot.
Mangini definitely has everyone confused, including the media.

yeah, i also found this interesting. it is someone new every day. i still think chad starts day one if he is healthy. i figure ramsey will be the backup and clemens as the third to sit and learn. it will be interesting to see how both chad and ramsey do in game situations rather then mini camps. i think both will be average.

Im sure he's expecting Chad to get hurt and he forgot Herm left so he automatically assumed the rookie wouldnt play at all.

So basically the media has no idea what the coach is thinking. Sounds like Mangini took some good notes while in NE

Newsflash: Every QB on our team worked with the no.1 offense. The same with every other position on our team. Its probably an old article KFFL found on ESPN because it says "currently". "Currently" the players are at home. Its hard for Ramsey to work as the starting QB at home in his own kitchen...

That's no surprise to me. Ramsey is the healthy veteran who we brought in this offseason for the sole purpose of competing for the starting job. He will be given the first bite of the apple.

If Clayton continues to say such ridiculous things, he will win the "Talking Hiney of the Year Award".

I think Chad will start the season if healthy. All reports coming out of mini camp seemed to suggest that Ramsey was the worst QB out of the four. Clayton must be tipping the bottle a bit too much these days.

I wanna see it as Pennington, Clemens and Bollinger in that order. Ramsey seems so short term, I dont care for him much.

I guess people here like you.

Pennington will start week 1 and defeat the Titans. Just wait and see. :)
