Rams receive: No. 1 overall pick, a fourth- and sixth-rounder. Titans: 1st round pick (15 overall); two second-rounders, a third-rounder and a first- and third-rounder in 2017
This is a great trade for the Titans, they need help everywhere and this will get them where they want to go sooner rather than later.
Agreed they will be set up very nicely to run the AFC South in 2-3 years. Its kind of rare to have your franchise QB in place on a low salary and have a ton of picks in the next couple drafts. They are looking damn good for the future right now.
Does anyone like Wentz enough to have offered a similar package to the Rams? Say instead of 1st round pick (15 overall); two second-rounders, a third-rounder and a first- and third-rounder in 2017 We would give: 1st round pick (20 overall), second round pick, MO, 1st rounder and 3rd rounder 2017
No, and if we wanted to move up why didn't we just outbid the rams? And why would the rams do all that work just to move back down?
Now trade Wilkerson to the Titans for 15. Tennessee has more than enough picks to survive trading 15.
Makes sense for both teams just ends up a lot better for the Titans. Obviously the Rams couldn't sell an LA fanbase on Foles or Keenum. Titans coveted Stanley more than Tunsil , or atleast liked his value more , so this gives them the ammo to get him at all costs. Big loser in all this..Cleveland. As usual.
