So STL is officially OTC. Who do you guys think they take? Do they go BPA with Suh despite taking d-linemen Carriker and Long in recent years, or do they address their enormous need at QB with someone like Bradford or Clausen? It stinks for them that Jake Locker decided to return to school.

I had a thread going about the same question not too long ago.

JC is the probable pick and right choice to have a direction for this franchise. The Rams QB situation is very unsettled.

If I was GM, it would be difficult to pass on Suh. Trading down might be an option.

Clausen is going to be their guy. Spags is a good coach, I truly believe that, but that offense needs something to hang their hat on. I think he'll make the defense work, though I'm sure he'd love to add a few more guys on that side of the ball as this draft goes along.

Clausen, Qbs are difficult to draft because you really have to develop them, but they do make all the difference in the world

Not to mention they did it the right way, getting a potential franchise Left Tackle before they lock in their Quarterback.

take suh. hope a QB drops a bit. trade the rest of your draft to move up and get said qb.

have a dominant defense and keep developing that qb

Trade their first pick for Clemens and our First. Get it done Tanny.

Suh is clearly the best prospect in the draft. I admire what the Fins did in their draft in 2008. Instead of taking Ryan with their pick they picked a Long as their O-Line cornerstone, then they drafted Henne in the 2nd round. Drafting Suh #1 would sure up their defense and their really isn't no O-Lineman or QB worth #1 pick.

Depending on what their thoughts are after pre-draft workouts they should do one of two things.

    1) Draft Suh with the #1 and build a great D-Line, then trade up into the mid-bottom first to get a QB if they like one that will be there.

    2) Trade down with Tampa who will have to jump over Detroit to get Suh. Detroit nor Kansas City will take a QB with their 1st so STL can still take the QB of their choosing and get some extra draft picks. If they just sit put and take a QB it won't be a bad pick by any means, but if they plan on taking a QB they should go this route. Making a trade that is below trade chart value will still benefit them, as in by trading the #1 for the #4 and a 3rd round pick.

My question is... if they get Clausen (like I think they will) will they get Weis as well as OC? It wouldmake sense...

If I were them take Suh. There are not that many teams that need a qb. Most likely Bradford or Clausen will drop depending on who Washington decides on. Trade back into the first for that qb. Suh is just too good to pass up.

I think it will be Suh unless they REALLY like Clausen.

this team doesn't have a QB.....Suh would be a luxury pick for the Rams.......they need to address the QB position. Bulger is done in STL.

Not a big poster on the board but i called the same thing awhile back. I totally see that happening and would increase the likelihood if Weis is named OC.

I like this idea. Have the Bucs jump Detroit to get Suh, then have Detroit get Berry with the Rams landing Clausen

Only problem with this is that it opens up trade possibilities with Detroit for teams that may also need/want a QB like the Skins and Seahawks, who sit at 4 and 6 respectively.
