Cuts: Sanchez is a tough one for me but he is too much money and no trade value because teams know we will cut him. Holmes is overpaid and overated, Goodson is legally unstable and replaceable, Gates Sucks, Cromartie is a cut and resign because he will be healthy next year and could help out this young secondary

Resign: Howard has been a very good RT and worth the money, we bring back Colon for experiemce and to give winters time to learn from a quality vet, Cumberland, Douable, Lankster, Walls good depth, Folk has been pro bowl caliber lately and worht bringing back for a couple years, Reed will be in more of a coach role for the y0ung safeties and DB

FA: Byrd is our big signing He is exactly what we need in the back end and will be a lot of money but will play hard and well to deserve it and even learn and become even better with Reed coaching him. Worlids is a good OLB and with Jarvis Jones behind him in Pitt he may become expendable for them He will improve our outside pass rush and make the front 7 scary good. Asamoah is a rock at G and will really help in pass prtect and running Ivory and Geno will love him. Henne good depth and will push Geno to play his best because he can still start for a team with weak QB play. Pettigrew is a great and maybe my favorite FA he is good blocker and a safety net for his QB Geno will use him on 3rd downs and in the red zone and will be a good TE for us.

Draft: You may be saying WR in 1 and 2. Yep Beckhaw is playmaker with good hands and speed my motto for this draft is faster faster faster. Beckham Cooks and Thomas are all that too. Beckham has potential to be a great WR1 and I think can be in year 1. Cooks is my draft crush this year after seeing his tape he plays bigger than he is has great hands, breakaway speed and is the man He is a runt but his heart is huge. We double up on LB in round 3 Attaochu is a raw player but Rex can coach him up to be a sack machine. Smallwood gives us great depth at the ILB postitiona and a safety net if Harris degresses. Thomas is a speed man and can do it all he will be our 3rd down back. He can cath run and run fast away from defenders. Exum is our experiment we can put him at S or CB and he is a good pick in round 5 he may not last but if he does sweep him up Idzik. Colvin is a good CB and with the injury he will fall he will have time to rest with cro milliner and wilson ahead of him but Cro is getting old and once again coach reed will help him out. Lyerla is on everybodys mock they all say he is a nut case but good and would be a round 1 or 2 prospect if he had a brain but a 7th round pick for that type of playmaker is worth it

another thing about our draftpicks is Cooks, Beckham and Thomas all return kicks and punts so ST boost

I like the outlook of next season and it sets us up for a great future

If it's tough why not have him do take a 2009 Alex Smith-like pay cut? I'd much rather have Sanchez back on the cheap than than Chad Henne.

    A few comments:

Love Jason Worlids, local NJ kid that I could see the Steelers letting him get away.....good call.

OBJ is a player that could rise to mid Rd 1 pick, he's a solid receiver.

Cooks is a favorite, a dynamic player and good special teams player.

I've liked Jeremiah Attaochu for a while, relentless player that makes plays in the backfield and runs down backs.

I really like most of your picks, I 'd like to see another O-lineman in the mix and with our extra comp picks it 's a possibility.

Yea i'm not too familar with the 3-5 OLineman but a depth is needed definently and Cooks is the man I could watch him for hours such a dynamic playmaker and makes ridiculous catches for his size

I would much rather too but i dont know if he would take the cut he thought he could start on another team also for the betterment of his career he needs to go and start fresh.

I loved Sanchez from day 1 and defended him all the way through but he needs to get out of NY

I wouldn't complain with a draft like this.

My only problem with Byrd is, how much is he gonna ask for? I wouldn't pay him $10 mil a year. Another thing with him is he wants to be the highest paid safety. With Seattle saying extending Thomas is top priority they could give him 11-12 mil a year and then Byrd's asking price will go up. If Nick Collins gets cleared and is healthy I would sign him to a deal.

Good job. I really like 90% of it. I doubt the Jets can afford to sign Byrd and all the others, plus re-up Wilk. I don't want either Sanchez or Henne as the veteran QB. I think the Jets need to sign Hill as their vet QB.

Another guy I would re-sign, if healthy, is Aaron Berry.

Like WW85, with the comp picks I'd look to add some OL depth and/or maybe a TE or RB.

I love the Black Mamba, but don't see him as anything other than a 3rd down back and STs player due to his size, and if the Jets get rid of Goodson, they'll need another RB for depth.

I doubt will sign Byrd, Worlids and Asamoah. Hell, will be lucky to sign two of them.

Asamoah would be nice. Not a sexy splash in FA, but would really help out our o-line.

Becks Jr is a good player but if Benjamin is still on the board we need to take him!

Thomas would be a great addition. The guy is so exciting to watch in special teams and I think could figure out how to do more on offense. He has great field vision for someone with his speed. Cooks is also a great ST guy though so I dont know if we would take him and Thomas.

I really like a lot of what you did here, I will agree with some of the other guys that I doubt we will get Byrd, Asamoah, and Worlids...just seems a bit of a stretch to me. Also, I have to say this I like both Beckham Jr. and Cooks but they are essentially the same type of player, I think it would be more important to take one of these 2 probably Cooks in the 2nd and take a bigger more aggressive type in the first like a Evans, Ebron(TE), or Benjamin.
