http://www.accuweather.com/us/nj/east-rutherford/07073/forecast-weekends.asp I much as I would like us to just 'ground and pound' it, it would be nice to see Sanchez play well in lousy weather. Weather seems pretty similar to that Denver game in 08. Hopefully more fans show up for Sundays game
I gotta agree with you on that one. I've been to almost 50 games now: snow, icy cold, 40-50 MPH winds, frigid temps, driving rain, blazing heat; you name the weather conditions and I've been to a game that had them....that game was the absolute worst. Freezing to the bone, and wet. No matter the amount of weather proof stuff and thermals that game sucked. I don't have tickets to this one, but whoever's going, bring your lungs.
I'll never forget, I was wearing a knit cap, poncho with hood, rain jacket with hood, columbia jacket, jersey, sweatshirt and turtle neck, rain pants, jeans, thermals, socks and rain boots. My f@cking wallet inside my sweatshirt pocket was still wet, and I didn't break it out for the entire game. The only thing better was driving home for 4+ hrs, reasonably soaked and getting stuck @ the GWB for at least an hour and a half.
Sanchez needs to have a good game one of these days in this type of weather. It's going to be a big problem if he keeps shitting the bed any time it's very cold.
Yeah....wow, I forgot about that. Made it even worse. It took over 2 hours just to get over the bridge. One of the worst ever. I go through the tunnel now and go through Manhattan because of that jam.
I spend half and some of the game standing in the bathroom because there was a heater in there. That was some shit weather not looking forward to repeat
Someone posts this almost every home game--the Denver game was one of the worst all time. It's a little early to know what the weather is going to be. I'm cooking steaks this game so it better hold up long enough for that.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/9269/splits;_ylt=AmOFgF11OgJEFnhPfEvwRcb.uLYF?year=career For his career: (not including dome games) Temp 21-40 degrees: 3 gms, 48.5 rating, 2 td, 7 int Temp 41-60 degrees: 8 gms, 64.8 rating, 10 td, 14 int Temp 61-80 degrees: 7 gms, 71.4 rating, 6 td, 5 int Over 80 degrees: 3 gms, 112.2 rating, 7 td, 0 int 9 games that were classified as "windy": 47.5 rating, 5 td, 7 int It's too early in his career to really make a big deal over this, and I'm sure most qb's play well when it's warmer and not windy. But still.. maybe there is something to this. on edit: There was no difference really between his day and night games. The big game against Miami at night this year probably helped those stats.
Rain in the mid to upper 40's is much better than just above freezing. Rain in the lower 30's is the worst weather to be outside in. Snow bounces off. Rain at those temps soaks into your bones. The weather should in any event hurt Miami more, so revel in that.
