This is a guy we should bring in for sure. they released him due to his high salary (saved almost 5 mil on the cap) after signing ryan grant to a 1 year 2.5 mil deal. Roberts is still relatively young (28) should be cheap to be our WR4 (probably get him for 2 mil or less) and plays special teams. he's a much better WR at this point the tay or peake. for the past 4 years he's had 30-45 catches and 400-500 yards every season and hasn't really missed any time for injury (only 2 games over 4 years). On top of that he's a really good 3rd down WR and a chain mover. of his 158 career catches 56% have gone for 1st downs. I'd bring him in right now and worst case he competes with peake and tay for a spot on the roster

Does Roberts return punts or kicks? With the loss of Andre Roberts we could use someone who does that. The nice thing about Seth Roberts is he is a better receiver than Andre and could be a good 4th receiver option and emergency for if someone gets hurt. I don't think the Jets will sign him before the draft. After maybe. I think they want the draft and other things to happen first.

he does not. i think we can get a guy in the draft for that though. would be nice to get deebo samuals as he can be a good slot WR and is one of the top returners in college. he's a 2nd or 3rd round talent though so i'm thinking we won't. another guy we can look at is tony pollard. he's a 6-UDFA talent and a project/gadget player and deons't have a true psoition. he's kind of inbetween RB and WR but not great at either currently. what he is though is one of the best returners in college and great with the ball in his hands so if we could land him with a late pick that would be great. also worth noting is crowder returns punts too

I agree. If Roberts doesn't offer the return stuff then we'll have to look at someone in the draft. Not opposed to Crowder returning punts but I look at him as one of the offensive cores so I'd prefer not to. If he had to then we can figure it out. As long as Cannon doesn't return a punt I am fine. That was like Todd Hundley playing outfielld. I cringed everytime. It's April. They'll find someone even if it's a late August/September cut.

LMAO tony pollard would be a perfect late round pick for his return ability only and that preserves drowder as well

The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Seth Roberts to a one-year deal according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

It took the 28-year-old Roberts only 24 hours to resurface after being released by the Raiders on Thursday after four seasons with the team. He produced an acceptable 45/494/2 line in 15 games for the Raiders in 2018 and is a decent auxiliary receiver but lost his roster spot when the Raiders loaded up at wideout this offseason with the likes of Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams.

Williams should find far more opportunity in the Ravens' paper-thin receiving corps and could even find himself in a starting role to begin the season. At this point he is competing with Willie Snead, Chris Moore and not much else, although we would expect the Ravens to look for some wide receivers in the upcoming draft.
