The Jets have possibly the best inside defensive set up in the league. On paper anyway. Q, Leonard Williams mixing and matching up front. Williamson and Mosley at ILB. Adams and Maye at safety. It’s the outside that has the question marks . Some potential sure but lack of depth at CB really stands out ...
Won’t matter when 5 yard passes turn into automatic TDs against our cornerbacks who should be in the XFL.
People forget that when you have a strong inside pass rush that gives the QB no time to react, the OLB benefits with more chances to attack, and when they do the DBs benefit with more time. It all feeds into the bottomline. No chance to complete a long pass.
he should play without a facemask, then if he gets his braces stuck on a ballcarrier's jersey he can just tackle them with his teeth
I know. It’s not like quinnen profiles as a strong pass rusher and Leonard won’t be doubled anymore and polite had a first round grade as an edge.
Leonard Williams is 2 inches taller, Q is fine. He will get bigger, faster and stronger as he continues to develop.
Only question is can Leonard Williams pick up Quinnen by the armpits and walk him back 20 feet from a crazy beeach at the Governors Ball?
Good Williams article. Hopefully he’s as special as this guy thinks he is. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2019/3...jets-scouting-report-defensive-tackle-alabama
I think we have some young talent on the roster that have an excellent opportunity to step up. Derrick Jones Parry Nickerson I saw a few good things from Nickerson last year, and Jones had a decent WK17 "debut". Hopefully they bring back Mo to add to Tru, Poole and Roberts. Is it an elite group? Absolutely not, but I think it could be serviceable with an explosive pass-rush should some of our young guys step up.
