Sucks but a no-brainer decision. Hasn't been healthy since 2018 & his injuries are serious (neck). Ah, what could have been. Really productive when healthy. Keyword, when.
JD really cleaning house!!! Braden and cannon as well. Bye bye to idsick 12! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sucks because I really think he would have been an upper echelon WR if he could have stayed healthy. We don’t gain anything cap wise correct? Looks more and more like the Winters release was just housekeeping and not because something was in the works.
I really liked Quincy when he was on the field! To bad too many injuries. And was unable to build on that good breakout season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well really no need to rush on FAs, would not surprise me at all. But you probably right, JD putting his stamp on building this team from ground up, getting rid of legacy players, wish he would now get rid of Gase, as he was here before him!!! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
you might get your wish next year, JD has set this team up where cap space and draft picks will be very attractive should they get a new HC next season.
Cap space, tons of picks and a good QB with a head coach vacancy to fill would be a pretty good scenario.
Wow, I wonder if Brent Boyer is on his way out. He just publicly praised Cannon calling him one of the top 5 gunners in the league and of his core guys.
I'll just echo what most have already said. Loved watching him play when he was healthy, and really wish Darnold had him as a consistent target. Wish him the best moving forward. For the hell of it, here are some highlights that immediately came to mind-- vs. Pats in 2015. 48 yard catch and run sets up the game winning OT score (at 0:10 seconds, if video doesn't start there): vs. Pats in 2016. Probably his best overall game, unfortunately in a losing effort:
Really bad luck with Q .... at l agree about Q.... At least he made a few bucks with the contract Magic Mike gave him I hope he invest well..... really like Cannon Too bad we weren’t really able to utilize that speed putting him in open space...always thought he be Useful in Third Down situations coming out of the backfield
Sucks his career over here and possibly his entire football career. I loved seeing how powerful he was on the field but unfortunately the injuries kept him out of the game. with that said, what was the point of cutting a guy on IR and what are the salary cap implications?
Never understood why they held on to Winters this long. He should have been gone months ago.Next man up.
I really liked him, but I hope he has enough money to retire. Neck injuries are no joke, i don't wnt to see him get injured badly.
I thought he was going to be our #2 for years to come after his 2016 season. But, it wasn't meant to be.
