Not that it's totally newsworthy, but I came across the story this morning http://www.fanhouse.com/news/nfl/quincy-carter-arrested-for-probation/478572 ABILENE, Texas (May 12) - Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Quincy Carter is free on bond after his arrest in Abilene. Former Cowboys quarterback Quincy Carter was arrested Sunday night on a probation violation warrant. The violation arose from a February arrest for drunken driving and marijuana possession. Carter now plays for the Abilene Ruff Riders of the Indoor Football League. In 2003, he led the Cowboys to a 10-6 season and the playoffs in their first season under coach Bill Parcells. Dallas released Carter in training camp before the 2004 season. He started briefly for the New York Jets before poor play and drug-related arrests ended his NFL career. The former Georgia star played in the Arena League before a brief tryout last year with the Miami Dolphins.
It's too bad he can't control himself. Not that he was ever a phenomenal NFL player or anything but he could have been a starter in the league somewhere for a number of years and made a good amount of money for himself. I kinda feel bad for the guy, even though it's completely his own fault.
