I've read alot of people on hear are concerned about the spot the trading of Kenyon Coleman leaves on the roster and who is going to fill it. I think the answer is already signed. According to Stats Inc., during the last six seasons (2003-08), in stints with the Ravens, 49ers and again with the Ravens, Douglas ranks third among defensive players in tackles for losses with 41.5. Pat Williams, a defensive tackle with the Bills and Vikings ranks first with 49 and Bears linebacker Lance Briggs is second with 44.5. Seeing as the point of a 3-4 DE is mainly to stop the run, this is an upgrade to me. So I for one am not at all worried about the 3 players we let go all of which came with a better replacment this offseason (Ratliff,Elam,Coleman -Sanchez,Leonhard,Douglas). Thoughts anyone?
Already maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany threads about this... I'm telling you before people start screaming at you
This just in, Fire is HOT! Really Douglas has been mentioned in a ton of threads since the trade. We haev also signed 3 UDFA's that play DL. The issue of depth is being well handled.
