I moved from Long Island a long time ago and reside in North Carolina, so it has been almost 20 years since my last visit to the Meadowlands. I have only been able to see the Jets play when they are in town against the Panthers. Anyway, my wife got us tickets for my birthday last month to the Jets- Phins game in September.

Question #1- How are my seats- Section:107 Row 32

Question #2- I have also started to collect signed mini helmets and was wondering what the best place was to get autographs after the game? Is there anyone I should avoide asking for an autograph? Thanks for any info.

Your seats are between the 10 yard line and the endzone on the Jets side of the field.

Autographs might be tough this year. There is VERY limited parking due to the construction of the new stadium. Actually, since you are not a season tix holder you will be forced to park off site (anywhre from 2 to 5 miles) and take a shuttle bus to and from the stadium..No joke! I know nothing of how you find out about where these parking sites will be.

    BUT

If possible the best area and really the only area for an autograph is outside the West Side of the stadium. That is the end zone from where the players come on to the field..and the endzone you will be sitting near. Players parking is right there.

You used to be able to get them outside the stadium @ player parking before the players got to the stadium and they would all walk by and sign, i did that for years, but starting last year they closed that to the public - they say it was for security precautions which is b.s.

I met most of the team over the years, troy aikman, chris collinsworth, phil sims, marino. The players seemed to enjoy it too. Curtis would get to the game early and sign autpgraphs for every person in line, no matter how long it took. I wish the jets would open it up to the public again.

When I was a teen in the late '80's I would go and get autographs there after every game. Harry Hamilton (Safety) used to have a couple of women (I assume family) that would sing to him and the players would just hang out for about a 1/2 hour or so. I've told the story other times on the boards that I have a picture of me (I was 15) and Lisa Gastineau (she was in her prime) leaning against Gastineau's red ferrari... I sort of out grew the autograph thing so I haven't been to that area in awhile. Sucks that they won't let you over there anymore.

Go to training camp to get autographs. They have a group of players sign for 10 minutes after practice every day.
