Do the Corners switch sides and follow a man or stay on a side? What are your thoughts about the advantages and disadvantages of each?
Depends on the team & the team your playing against. Take us verses the Pats & Randy Moss. My guess is Revis will be "assigned" to Moss. In other games he might just stay on his side no matter who lines up.
Yeah, my guess is Revis continues to get the top guy in most games, though. Lowery's been impressive, but he's still not a proven commodity (It was the Dolphins!). There is still a gap between the CB1 and CB2.
Very true. Expect Revis to "follow" the other teams top guy and whom ever is the #2 will take the other. I hope Lowery continues to impress because that was a hell of a game for a rookie.
Not quite true..Lowery is a rook, he never faced Pennington but Revis has. How good did Lowery do? This guy is going to be a stud barring injury. Revis and Lowery will compete against 1 another all season and 1 of em just might make the pro bowl.
Lowery did a good job shutting down one of the worst groups of receivers in the league with a QB that is know for lack of arm strength. Forgive some of us if we want to see him do it against better competition before we write his HOF ticket. I loved his first game. Now he needs to build on that.
No no, I was talking about Revis. He has a shot to go probowl this year. Say what you want about their receivers, Lowery did a good job. He showed natural skill. Can't teach kind of skill. He is good and Revis is going to make him better. IMHO of course
Lowery played big but it would be a mistake to put a 22 y/o rookie up against Moss. Talent aside, there is a learning curve. In answer to your question, some CBs have a side they are better at, maybe its a vision thing or balance, who knows but the coaches all follow the big guns. If it doesn't work with Revis, Lowery may get his chance. Lets hope not.
Oh I agree that Revis has a shot at a PB this year. Lowery is also looking good. i just got your meaning crossed up. I love reading how all of the DB's get together for a after the day film session 3 times a week. This is only going to make good young players like Lowery advance even faster. The team that watches film as a group like that gels faster and has better on field awareness not only as an individual but as a unit. I just hope our D can keep doing things well this year.
