Did anyone else see Sanchez get DECKED after the hand off? It was the play when there was a holding penalty and Ryan had gone nuts on the sideline? Anyone else think that if we didn't have a rookie back there; we get that call?
if it was Manning or Brady, I honestly believe that there would've been a flag. But oh well, can't complain now. Overall I thought the officiating wasn't awful today
A late hit that bad gets called, I don't care who is in at QB, the reason it didn't get called is because for some reason the same ref that watches the QB has to watch the run, this is why that Rodgers facemask didn't get called in OT this year. The NFL has to fix that.
Rex almost killed someone...that was BS. The worst part is there is no way the ref doesn't see that.....its literally right the fkck in front of him.
if it's Manning or Brady, the guy who hit him gets a 15 yard personal foul. Lets say it was Leonhard who made the hit. He gets ejected. The player who was closest to Leonhard who was 5 yards away also would get ejected. When Sanchez gets hit they call a personal foul on Sanchez for doing an amazing PA fake and not letting the defender know he didn't have the ball. Too good of a deke!
Why not make it booth reviewable? I mean something that bad going uncalled just because it wasn't seen is completely inexcusable...I know how ridiculous that sounds. But it's true. Either that or the way the officials view the play has to change.
Even without those FGs, we still have a 17-13 lead.. we needed some big plays on defense and we just didn't get them
The game is already slowed down with the 9 billion southwest commercials. we dont need more stoppage.
didn't that play have a holding? So it would have been offsetting penalties. I could be wrong on the offensive run. The hit was blatant, way late, and to a QB. The ref has only one obligation on that play and it is to watch the QB. WOuld love to know what he was spectating.
The ref probably said that since it was a run play the QB was a viable blocker... although the play was going in the opposite direction so that arguement makes no sense i was so happy to see Rex lose his shit at the ref
yeah the league has made blocking on all players not involved in a play a main rule...you factor in that it is a QB 3o yards away and the ref needs to explain why that wasn't called. Won't make a difference now but would be nice to hear the league say we missed that one.
No, that was on the play that was called back because of holding, so it would have just been offsetting penalties. Sanchez completed a 19 yard pass for a first down a couple of plays later, and the drive ultimately ended at the Indianapolis 47 (followed by a punt to the 12), so the lack of a call actually had no real effect on anything. Of course, that doesn't change that was a horrible non-call.
