Edit: Title SHOULD just read Trade Advice.

    Is this a fair trade
    Trent Edwards & Larry Fitzgerald
    for
Aaron Rodgers & Wes Welker (or Patrick Crayton)

Depending on the scoring system and the other WRs I had, I'd take the Rodgers package.

It seems like a pretty fair trade to me, depends on what you're trying to do and what the rest of your team looks like.

Rodgers has lit it up so far, but hasn't really faced anyone good. He also hasn't proven he can stay healthy yet. That's the main reason I've stayed away from him in fantasy this year.

Of course Edwards hasn't proven that either, but the purpose of that end of the trade is obviously to upgrade at WR, so Edwards isn't as important.

I'd rather have Crayton than Welker...

I would rather be on the Rodgers/Welker side of this deal.

Trent Edwards is a replacement level QB. You could pick someone up of the WW who would perform just as well. So, its basically Fitz for Rodgers and Welker. I think this is a bad time to trade for Rodgers because I do not think that he will keep this up all year. However, I do think that he is the real deal and could be used as a spot starter/good backup. Welker will be heavily utilized with Cassel (as we saw last week). Is he a downgrade from Fitz? Sure. But he is still a top 20 WR IMO.

To get a good QB and a top 20 WR for a top 10 WR (not top 5 IMO. I'd rather have TO, Moss, Wayne, Edwards, Andre Johnson in that order) is a pretty good deal I think.

For Welker, it's fair but I probably wouldn't do it. Fitz is the best player in that trade.

    For Crayton, it's not fair.
