If Williams and Revis can't go what option do we have? We know that Cro and Walls can't get the job done and Milliner at least played against him in college. I would put Milliner and Cro on the outside while rotating Skrine, McDougle, and Walls on the inside.
It may come to this. Though for some reason Cro plays well when Revis is not in the lineup. I wouldn't be so against at least trying Cromartie on Beckham early. Still with a game of this magnitude I think both Williams and Revis suit up. Worst case scenario 1 plays and 1 doesn't.
Cro said Odell is a fluke earlier in the year remember? Please keep Cro away from Odell. Bad enough people burn him with ease imagine somebody that actually is making it their personal business to embarrass him... yikes. I said when Cro called Odell a fluke that Odell would make a big play probably 7/10 times on cro. So i pray it doesn't come down to that. I don't see why Revis won't be ready to go tbh
Some other posters here (can't recall) said it may be better to move Revis to the #2 WR and then dbl the #1 WR with a DB and a safety. Maybe they do this with Beckam? Put Milliner and Gilchrist on OBJ and leave Cro to cover the other garbage WRs. Good call.
Don't put Walls on him. Walls could be a really great CB in this league if the rules forbade receivers from jumping.
Milliner's played like 1 defensive snap all year. I really would rather not have his first assignment of the year be Odell Beckham Jr...
He's having a tough time even getting on the field, but we put him against the Giants best play maker...? Bad idea.
I'm all for this, Dee needs to do something already please, him not seeing playing time hopefully has to do with easing him in... Atleast that's what I'm telling myself
I kinda like the idea of doubling Odell with Cromartie and safety help while putting Revis on the teams number 2. The only decent point Mehta made was that Bellicheck employed that strategy with Revis at times last year. I think Revis should start the game 1 on 1 with Odell, and if Odell appears to be getting the better of him, you employ that strategy.
I think people are way overthinking that Hopkins game. The Jets are capable of stopping Beckham. Beckham is a great player, but the New York hype machine has got behind him full force. He's not unstoppable.
It goes without saying (i hope) OBJ is double covered and Eli has to throw it elsewhere. Pryor has to hit Odell and that should do it The other Giant WR are not as good caliber wise so could be doable by any of our DBs
Millner would break his ankles on the first play of the game facing off against OBJ - out for the rest of the season.
Its not just the Hopkins game, Allen Robinson( 6 rec 121 yds) had his way with Revis for the most part too and If the bills passed more I'm sure Sammy would have had a better day, he burned him that opening drive. Look I love Revis and he's still probably a top 5 corner but he has lost a step and Odell is the best ive seen since Randy Moss.
Lol everyone talking about milliner guarding Odell... i'm glad yall not our coach. Why make his first assignment of the year probably one of the hardest task for even the best corners to accomplish. Forget about it.. Bowles hasn't spoken of milliner all week there's a better chance of him not playing at all than playing across from Odell.
