The Kansas City Chiefs have released 2013 Pro Bowl CB Brandon Flowers.

Flowers, 28, the 3rd pick of the 2nd round (35th overall) of the 2008 draft, was a six year starter for the Chiefs. Unhappy with KC's new GM's John Dorsey's scheme to start bigger CB's Flowers has so far been
a no show at the Chiefs off season practices and has been replaced as a starter.

Flowers could be a nice fit for the Jets. At the moment they are short of healthy CB's after failing to sign
any of the bigger ticket CB's during free agency. With $23M in cap space still available signing Flowers is
a move the Jets could easily afford to make for a CB who could be a big upgrade at a need position.

At 5'9" & 190 lbs. Flowers is on the small side for a CB and is coming off one of his worst seasons as a pro
but a starting assignment in a new city on an already good defense might be just the ticket for Flowers on a Jets defense very much in need of an impact player at the CB position,

    We'll see.

Mods please move this to the New York Jets Forum.

The BS Forum does not need this.
