I got to this point and realized that I'm very torn on who to cut so I put asterisks next to a few guys who I think the final cut could come down to. Those guys being Bryce Huff, Soloman Thomas, and Jonathan Marshall. Gun to my head, I'd probably cut Soloman Thomas but this will depend largely on how the CS feels about their IDL/EDGE depth as we progress through the offseason. I could see a scenario where Saleh and Ulbrich feel confident with their top 4-5 EDGE's (Lawson, JJ, JFM, Martin, and Clemons) and Huff gets cut/moved to PS.
from the interviews I've heard he's going to be mostly an edge but will be used as a DT on obvious pass downs (aka 3rd and longs) I expect JFM and lawson to start at edge with JJ being the primary rotator and backup if an injury happens.
I could see that happening and they would likely get rid of a DT off my list (shepard or thomas or marshall) and run 6 edges and 4 DTs since JFM can slide inside when needed
You might be spot on, I suspect JFM will be predominantly inside, Shepard might be a casualty. Of course injuries will change it all.
i think shepard would make it over thomas TBH I could be wrong though. I think marshall and thomas are the lowest 2 lineman on the totem pole
Pretty ballsy going into the season with only 9 DL esp since Saleh believes in heavily rotating them and 8/9 DL take a snap every game.
From the interviews I’ve heard, Saleh wants him working against guards. Were you the one who disagreed the Jets were going with more 1-2 personnel? Now we have two things to re-examine when the season gets going.
I didn't say we won't use more, but I did say it won't be a lot. some users here were saying 30-40% I was saying our base will still be 11 which is the norm in the NFL
Dude… there’s literally pages of you saying TE’s aren’t important in this O, we won’t be running more TE sets etc etc. We got to the point where I had to give you a definition of the word “more”. I’m not going down this rabbit hole again…. But if anyone wants to….. https://forums.theganggreen.com/thr...not-draft-a-wr-in-the-1st.97099/#post-4185110 (Starts at post 12)
That's fair. It's possible they keep all 10 of those guys and try to sneak Sherwood/Nasirildeen onto the PS. I would prefer to just take 2 QB's into the season and either cut Flacco or trade White but for whatever reason they like the idea of having all 3 of those guys on the 53 man.
IMO there’s 0 chance any of last years rookies are sent to the practice squad. Sherwood didn’t make my 53 bc I have him on IR.
never said that, you might want to re-read your own link. You just seem like you try to start arguments but won't work here buddy. no interest in petty nonsense on my end. good luck trolling others though
