It might be fun to take a look at this thread in January and see who was really accurate with their predictions. We seem to do many Team record predictions but not really for individual stats. Add/Remove any Jet you choose. Here goes mine. OFFENSE =================== Mark Sanchez: 59% comp. 14 TD 9 Int 2,142 Yards, 78% QB Rating Kellen Clemens: 57% comp. 7 TD 6 Int 1,132 Yards, 74% QB Rating T. So you are saying two of the Jets players will have over 2100 yards rushing at avg of just under 5 per carry and we'll have more than 3200 yards passing? Awesome...aint happening though. We still have Shonn Greene who'll get one fourth of the carries as well. Atleast 100 carries for him to say the least. 1600 yards receiving from the third and 4th WR??? WOW! You really didn't think about this did u?
Oh, and the Gholston stats are hillarious. Seems more like a wet dream to me after his one solo tackle the entire season last yr.
man where's all the optimism gone to? too many darksiders, but I don't blame you. Yea like i said just a wild prediction, I didn't think much of it.
Because Jake keeps asking Jeaux: Jamarcus Russell: 5200 yards, 61 TD's , 1 INT 99.9% comp. (tries to get one by Revis), 155.1 QB rating.
Those are way too specific. I'll post a ballpark range of expectations for key players. Sanchez: 60% 2000 YDs 10 TDs 10 INT Jones: 800 YDs 6 TDs Washington 500 YDs 5 TDs 300 Rec YDs 2 TDs Cotchery: 850 YDs 6 TDs Keller: 700 YDs 5 TDs Ellis: 50 Tack 6 Sacks Jenkins: 50 Tack 5 Sacks Gholston: 30 Tack 4 Sacks Harris: 110 Tack 2 Sacks Scott: 100 Tack 5 Sacks Revis: 50 Tack 5 INT Rhodes: 80 Tack 5 INT
Getting just a combined 1300 rushing yards out of Jones and Washington would be quite dissappointing. This team will need at least 2000 rushing yards from its RBs to have any chance to compete for a playoff-spot.
I don't see that many picks for Revis simply because I don't think he will be thrown at all that much. Teams will learn from last year's footage and he will find himself feeling the impact of his own success and awesomeness.
both QBs will not throw for more than 15 TDs. Combined rushing will hit 1800 yards if OL is healthy. if not, 1550 yards. WR Corps takes a hit. Cotch looks at Derrick Mason numbers, maybe a little lower than that. WR #2-4 have maybe 65 catches combined. Keller has a dip in production, but is still a beast.... actually, he may have the same exact stats from last year. Which could be seen as a dip due to him starting all 16 games. defense will be in top 10 for sacks and takeaways. gholston will get a sack this year - how many is to be seen. Rhodes will make a pro bowl bid with 5 ints. Revis' stats will look pedestrian in a similar fashion to asomougha. But we know it means he's a beast. Pace will have respectable numbers for a 12 game season. I'm thinking 6 sacks. Could have had 10 with 4 more games to play. Bart Scott will have 80 tackles and Harris won't be too far behind. Harris will have 3 sacks, maybe more. Dwight Lowery will sack someone this year.
