New York was up three, facing a third-and-5, with just over two minutes to play. Tennessee crowded the line of scrimmage with 10 players. Why not take a deep shot with single coverage? Would that be aggressive? Sure. Who cares when you're 3-8? Go win the darn game. The Jets played not to lose. Understandable, given the game situation, but not with Tennessee begging them to make a move. Would be nice to see teams destined for top-five picks in the 2019 NFL Draft take a few chances.

So the Giants are 'better' than the Jets just because they have one more win than we do? They're terrible and just as bad as the Jets IMO. To Saquon Barkley's credit he is pretty damn good, and I like his personality as well. He's being very diplomatic and not running his mouth. Hopefully Beckham doesn't rub off on him. I bet the closest we got was after beating Tennessee in week 12 in 2008 to go to 8-3. We might have been top 3. Definitely not #1. Never cracked top 3 in 1998. There were three teams with 1 or 2 losses, and we lost 3 of our first 5 games. We likely would have been #1 at 10-1 back in 1986 (before the roof caved in), but I don't think ESPN power rankings existed back then.
