With our holes being filled through FA, i think it might shape up like this. #6- Vernon Gholston- Our Willie McGinest( the pats version) he'll rush the passer and learn how to be a good cover OLB... if he's as advertised he'll go to Hawaii alot. #36- James Hardy- 6-6 215 runs a 4.5 40... if he lasts the 1st round he's ours and Clemens will love having a Burress like receiver. He'll bulk up too, being faster and stronger than he is now #99- Kendall Langford- Huge dude who can spell Coleman or Ellis. It will take a few years for him to develop into a good DE, but off the bat he'd provide great depth. #109 (Saints 4th from Vilma)-Beau Bell ILB- I like the fact that he has the same scouting grade that Harris did coming out of college, a run-stuffing thumper that has bad coverage skills... same grade may equal same player- in that case our Interior ILBs will be scarier than what the Pats ever had. Two young beasts in the middle of the field. #165- Dominique Barber- He is Marion Barber's brother, and is impressing coaches with his maturity and understanding of the game. I like the fact that he is under the radar, because he could easily be a good player at a low price. If his bloodlines tell us anything, he will be a high caliber player. Also a Mangini guy #196- Peyton Hillis FB- We need someone to block on goal line plays, why not a big FB to pave the way. Red zone scoring is why we went 4-12 in the 1st place.
How can you make a "post FA" mock draft, when free agency started...today? (I love the draft though...James Hardy is my favorite player in this draft, and Gholston will be given the chance to dominate with the acquisition of Special K Jenkins.)
