After Wilson and Wilkerson will we be able to keep up the "1st rd pick from NJ" tradition for a 3rd straight year?

These are the two best New Jersians I could find at positions of (possible) need for next year:

Vinny Curry, DE/OLB, Marshall (from Neptune, NJ)
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 252.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.66.
    Projected Round (2012): 2.
5/25/11: Vinny Curry had a monstrous junior campaign, tallying 18 TFL and 12 sacks in 2010.

Mohamed Sanu*, WR, Rutgers (from South Brunswick, NJ)
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 215.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
    Projected Round (2012): 1-2.
5/19/11: Paired with a struggling freshman quarterback, Mohamed Sanu caught just 44 balls for 418 yards and two touchdowns in 2010.
7/27/10: Mohamed Sanu had a pretty productive freshman year, catching 51 passes for 639 yards. He also rushed for 346 yards on 62 attempts.

What's your opinion on these guys? Who else is out there?

Sanu is a stud, the kid is used horribly at RU, but he's got Anquan Boldin written all over him. He could be a terrific NFL receiver, and I think has better potential than Britt because he actually has a brain.

Curry's got some skills too, but he's still really raw. He's a wild passrusher so he'll fit in well with the Jets, I just hope he rounds out his skills by playing stronger/smarter this year.

Sanu is a beast, greg schiano is just a turd sandwich and has no idea how to use him.

I wonder if he will declare considering Jeffrey, Blackmon, Fuller, Broyles and Floyd are all likely to declare... there will be some good talent at WR in the first rounds of next year's draft.

If this were college football, I might actually care where these kids are from.

It's kind of nice to bring in some homegrown talent, but it really doesn't matter where these prospects live.

Kyle Wilson and Muhammed Wilkerson just happened to be the best players available when the Jets were selecting. ...kind of a coincidence I think.

Sanu and Curry are very intriguing prospects though. I'd be happy to see either of them play for the New York Jets.

I cant even think about first round picks this far ahead, outside of the handful of top 15 locks. Their are some other guys Id look at before both Sanu and Curry but I wouldnt rule anyone out

I agree with MR E, just a coincidence the past 2 seasons. Both Wilson and Mo were the BPA.

I do give NJ a lot of credit, High School Football has come a long way over the years. NJ is close to beiing a powerhouse. Cali, Florida & Texas still rule the country.

fyi Sanu was hurt virtually the entire last season so he was practically a decoy. Not sure how you think he was misused. The year before, when healthy, he had a huge year as a Freshman. Should be huge again this year if healthy...

If he hadn't gotten hurt he would have been forced as the team's leading rusher as a wildcat runner. They have a 6'2, 220 lb kid that legitimately has the potential to be a top 2 round pick as a WR and they run him up the middle 8 times a game to average success. Or there's the fact that he was injured for so long because instead of giving him time to heal they just kept pushing him through it.
