For me seeing Powell emerge as a NFL caliber RB, his ceiling is high imo. Kerley looking like a good player in the slot position Wilkerson and Coples playing well on the D line. Landry solidfying our safety position, hoping we can bring him back.
Cromartie stepping up Kyle Wilson isn't as bad as this board thinks, he played well also Besides that I agree with everything you have put
Geez its really slim pickings....Malone was a decent Punter...Cromartie raised his game...McIntyre was a nice scrap heap pickup at LB.
Good God that's a sad list... Powell's ceiling is not high IMO, I doubt he's on the team next year. Kerley is a serviceable #3 but that's hardly anything to get excited about. Wilkerson looks good, not great, but decent, the jury is still out on Coples. Landry was decent, hits hard, bad in coverage. Either way basically any of those guys except maybe Wilkerson are easily replaceable.
Biggest positive by far is Wilkerson. That guy played as well if not better than justin smith, and should be ranked lower than only JJ Watt when it comes to 3-4 defensive ends.
I don't know what you were watching. I'm not sure how Powell wouldn't make the team next year with Mcknight behind him and Greene a free agent... Kerley had 800+ yards on the dysfunctional offense that had a grand total of 3000 passing yard between all QBs combined. He's a legitimate playmaker and a really good #3 receiver, but definately best used inside there at the slot. Wilkerson does not look decent. The guy is an all-pro. As disruptive and dominant in the run game as anyone. The stats don't tell even half the story on him. The jury is still out on Coples, but in very limited playing time he was our best pass rusher and grabbed 5.5 sacks. It's legitimate to expect 10 sacks out of him next season. I don't love Landry, but he was not bad in coverage, by any means. Who do you replace Kerley with easily? Laron Landry? Quinton Coples? A good pass rusher from the interior of the line? Do you realize that that is rare?
No. PFF agrees, and has Smith ranked third, Wilkerson ranked second, Watt first. Rex compares him to Richard Seymour and I think that's a legitimate comparison. With an improved Coples and a healthy Pouha, Wilkerson will see less and double teams (which he saw on every play this year) and be even more dominant.
buttfumble... oh wait you wanted POSITIVES. everyone finally realizing that mark sanchez is just not any good.... well hopefully they realized it by this point. please please rex please realize it or fire yourself.
