We aren't getting Peterson because we aren't drating top 5. Start talking about guys like Lynch and Irons since there is a more realistic chance we can get one of them.

I voted for the Blalock guy (have no idea who the F he is, but...) we need a couple of guards and another RT and we'll have a running game. Amazing what this coaching staff has done with schemes to hide our weaknesses and stay competitive. How did we end up with perhaps the best coaching staff in the league with no fanfare or recycled old guys? Remarkable...

Justin Blalock is a beast. He is a RT in College right now, but he would be way better suited for RG in the NFL.

He is a very good athlete for an interior lineman, and is very good in pass protection. He can adjust to a defenders moves, and keep his quarterback safe.

In the running game, he has the power and strength to drive players off the ball and open up major running lanes. Blalock may have versatility to play at either RT, or RG in the NFL.

Even though Blalock has played tackle his entire career at Texas. He is only 6'4, so he is short for a tackle, but his height would not be a problem at Guard.

Justin Blalock may be able to play right tackle in the NFL, but he has the look of a dominant guard prospect. He has the talent to be a pro bowler inside at guard, and most teams will draft him with that idea in mind.

    Rape...

Peterson, but Joe Thomas (OT from Wisconsin) should be in this poll.

We need a solid all around RB...Peterson is just that. We only have patchup players now at RB.

While a RB is a nice thought I think we'll eb picking closer to the middle of the pack so Peterson won't be there. If you'd asked me in August I'd say Peterson but I see us winning about 7 games so Peterson is a pipe dream. I'd say a big fat DT ....

Agreed...with the way we are playing, Peterson won't be available. My boss is actually a good friend of Peterson, since he went to Oklahoma, and he said the same, but never leave out the possibility of trading up. It's a long way to draft day and this thread should have been posted in January of '07.
