Titans and Bills obviously look good, but I voted Texans. This team is finally on the rise, a good draft or 2 away from a really good football team. They swept the Jags, just beat the Colts, this team is improving big time.
I voted Titans. I think Young is better than I thought he would be, and should be even better next year.
The Bills deserve an honorable mention, but Vince Young makes the Titans a totally different team. They already have a very good coaching staff, and VY has shown that he is a force to be respected. While I still don't like "Happy Feet" QBs, VY can throw the ball better than I had thought he would be able to. The Bills are an improving team, and as much as I hate to admit it, Losman might be an average QB in this league, and with an 8 game homefield advantage in that Buffalo environment, they can get better in the next few years. The Packers are never going to give Favre the weapons he needs before he finally hangs it up. The Vikes were a mirage early this year. A lot like Miami at the end of last year. The Texans are a team that is very much tettering on the fence. I would stick with Carr, but I doubt they will at this point. Starting over with a new QB will push that franchise backward. With Indy and Jacksonville in that division, there's not much hope of them winning a division title in Carr's career.
I think the Titans have really showed an emense improvement with Young behind center. And they have the intangables like a decent secondary, and a great coach. I think two teams that would be scary in the playoffs, had they made it in are Buffalo and the Titans.
The Bills scare me right now. They're playing better football than most other teams in the NFL. Just a hunch here, but I don't see them carrying in this hot streak to next season. Best future: Tennessee Titans. Vince Young is the real deal. He has the speed and game-breaking ability of Michael Vick and the passing skills of a pretty good QB. As long as Jeff Fisher and the rest of the coaching staff stick around, they'll be contenders.
I would say the Titans because the other teams don't have a Qb of the future. With the Titans it looks like as long as Vince is in there they will be competitive. They also have the best HC of all the teams on the list. Carr has proven year after year he will never reak out and that he is just an average qb. Favre can still play a little but he will be long gone before teh Packers have a good team around him again and who knows what they have in Aaron Rogers. The jury is still out on Losman but I don't see him ever being a good NFL QB. And the kid for the Vikes I don't think is the answer either.
After last night and what this team has accomplished, who cares about other NFL teams and who is rebuilding!!!!
Easy pick here, Titans. Texans have some potential to be a solid team next year. The AFC South will be one of the best divisions in the NFL next year.
I chose the Titans. Why? Vince fuggin Young. The Packers can't rebuild with Favre still on the roster. The Texans are this generation's Cardinals. The Bills will miss the playoffs for another 7 years. The Vikings? God help them.
Even before Young took the world by storm the answer was probably the Titans, since Fisher is a much better coach than any of the others from this list. Young only makes it even clearer, I would say. Surprised this hasn't been moved to the NFL forum, since it has nothing to do with the Jets...
Yeah....now go get yourselves a QB, RB, couple of 'good' WR's and maybe the Jets will become 'contenders' in a few years!
you must have your head stuck in the sand...this just in..when you make the playoffs, you are a contender...the jets will be in the postseason come sunday night...and we have so much room to improve on...so with that said, the Jets have a very bright future regardless of how far we go...what team do you even like? the phins?? quite being a troll and go play with your sister's dolls:drunk:
You haven't 'made' the playoffs....yet! (despite a very easy '06 schedule) I mean, c'mon....the BROWNS beat ya'!!!! hmy:
