Is Turner a free agent? iv noticed attention for him may have died down a bit, but he's still high on many people radars
For me it was between Thomas and Steinbach. Chose Thomas for his versatility. I'd be really pleased if either signed though.
With all of the guys getting franchised, this might not be a bad year to poach restricted free agents. Jon Stinchcomb, the starting right tackle for New Orleans would look nice in green and white. If teams are foolish enough not to use the high tender, I would try to sign Stinchcomb or another RFA.
No you definitely do not. Nick Harper, Jason David, and Marlin Jackson are shut-down CBs? When the Patriots beat Philly, didn't they just have Randall Gay, Asante wasn't as good as he is now...Pittsburgh with DeShea Townsend or Ike Taylor? They weren't shut-down CBs. If you want Clements because he's a good player and would be a good acquisition, then that's fine...But you don't NEED a "shutdown CB" to win a SB... Give me Adalius.
We need playmakers, and Thomas is the best one on this list, plus he fills a big need as a pass rusher, so I'll go with him. It is possible that we could get 2 of these guys though, which would be great.
Everyone knkows we need help at CB and Nate Clements would be the best player on defense from the day be walked on the field. Yes he would demand a lot of money but he would thrive in our defense. Clements would be a piece of the puzzle and fill a vital hole.
