in the area of a B to a B+ he got beat once, but if pennignton stepped up it wouldn't have been a sack, and gave up some ground on pass pro but he was blocking Jason Taylor. Run Blocking wasn't over powering but did his job. He looks like he is worth the pick

I'd give him a B. 8.5 sacks isn't the best but when you're going up against Schoebel twice, Taylor twice, Seymour twice, Freeney, first-pick Mario Williams etc., it's not terrible. In fact, it's pretty good.

B is about right. As a rookie LT, he's only had one "horrible" game (against Schobel), but overall has done a nice job against some of the best pass-rushing DEs in the NFL. He will continue to get bigger, stronger, and better.

    B-

    Based on his #4 value.
He's missed several blocks in the run and does not roadgrade enough in the running game.

His Pass blocking skills were ok in the beginning, then improved and have since declined.
And Please, Don't give me this ELITE DE every week BS, that's what a #4 pick is supposed to do.

He is solid for a rookie but not living upto his pick status....

I hope he improves when he gains a little weight but as I said before, a #4 pick should not be a project and should be stepping right in.

That said, if this is the "worst" we'll see from him, he's gonna be just fine...

Id give him a B+. Pennington is still playing, I can't really complain about his performance to much

This is the first year in a very long time that Chad Pennington has survived the season without injury (knock on wood for Week 17). I'm not giving D'Brickashaw Ferguson all the credit for that, but clearly, he's part of a unit that created a real opportunity for the New York Jets.

Brick's undersized frame drops his grade, for me, from a solid B+ to a B. For a rookie with big expectations against tough competition, he's done very well. Some are trying to sell the idea that Brick got owned by Taylor last night, but the fact is that Jason Taylor spent most of last night as a non-factor, unless you count boneheaded gyrations as playmaking. He's sustained way past the rookie wall, due in part to excellent technique that masks his physical weaknesses.

Compare the guy to our last #4 overall pick, Dewayne Robertson, who's taken several years to get it right.

I look forward to the next several years of D'Brickashaw, who's going to be a standout lineman for the Jets.

I would go with a B at this point. As many people have mentioned Chad is still in there and D'Brick has gone up against some of the best DE's in the league thisyear

The most hilarious part is that the most recent "blunder" was 12 years ago.

It is kinda hard to block all the elite DE as a rookie. It is not an easy job

I say a B, the 3 sacks against shobel, 2 of them were in garbage time when it didn't even matter, also I look for him to have a great year next year when he is more comfortable and puts on some more weight (He's been playing at about 290ish when he's listed at 310, for a guy who's 6-6 he needs to bulk up)
