Perhaps because stacked interior defensive lines don’t matter in today’s game

This is like the Sack Exchange. We have Soldier of Peace and Marty Lyons squared.

You really are confused. The post you just responded to is number 30 which was in response to yours at number 29 which is linked and cited right there.

It did not show up in your post. Maybe you should relax and stop insulting. I'm just commenting on posts. Not making it personal. But that could change.

Hackenberg was projected to go in the first round at one point too. Then the rest of the league realized he sucked. Mac never seems to get CC’d on the “he sucks” memos.

Hackenberg dropping was because Hackenberg sucked.

Polite seems more like a combine meltdown issue. He seems to have the talent to play at this level, it’s just a matter of whether or not he can get his head out of his ass.

Not yet but hopefully they will be. The Sack Exchange produced zero hall of famers and zero Super Bowl appearances, so the bar is set for what they need to surpass to win our hearts.

I suggest you do some research. Other posters pointed out the best DLs the Jets have ever had. I see no way that the current DL will come close. It would be great if they did, but they have BIG shoes to fill and a LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGG way to go to even get close.

A fucking disgrace by the selection arseholes, just how can you ignore any one of these guys but seriously to ignore all 4 is nothing short of scandalous.

The sack exchange was by far the best jet dl ever, period, and this won't change it or even come close to it. anybody who doesn't know that isn't old enough to have watched them play.

Its not even the best line we've had in the last ten years.

Its clear this will not be the best Jets line in history. However, I think 2019 can be like the 2008 Jets defense: Compared to 2007, we exchanged Dewayne Robertson & Victor Hobson for Kris Jenkins & Calvin Pace. Jenkins actually produced fewer individual sacks than Robertson had the previous year, and Ellis was our sack leader both years, but the increased pressure up the middle got everybody in on the action. 10 players had at least half a sack credited in 2007, 17 got a piece of the QB in 2008. Team sacks went from 29 up to 41. Tackles for a loss went up from 51 to 69.

This is the type of post that should get the most praise. Not the 18 paragraph ones that name half the roster and don't say a damn thing.

Disagree. Before anything is "clear" I'd like to see a couple of these guys actually appear on an NFL field. Your mileage may vary.
