Why not? Jordan Jenkins was only a 3rd year player last season and recorded 7 sacks (2 Forced Fumbles and 2 Fumble Recoveries) with only 11 starts (16 gms played).

Can't wait for the Jets to try this this year, and then the player gets dropped on Enunwa and we lose both guys to long term IR

I don't think Enunwa has a good enough "bend" for that move.

Years ago we had an O lineman named Matt Mcchesney ( spelling could be off ) I read rave reviews in the off season about him and the guy even played in Europe or somewhere else and the Jet coaches and other players talked about this guy,,,,,,,,so my question is do you even remember or know who he is because he never made it to the opening day roster ? I could care less about what coaches or players say about a guy , let a players actions on the field speak and until I see anything from Polite or Williams or any of the others its all hype.

I always look for rookies on special teams. If they aren't making an impression on special teams and don't get major reps with the first team they are probably going to be useless. I suspect Williams is dancing with the first unit. I wouldn't be concerned about him unless he's not getting 50% of the snaps in game 1.

I'll wait for DWC to evaluate his talents, he's got the inside on every player.

Being around the ball's a good thing. . Standing around the pile is another.

Guy's got a quick outside 1st step that can be used to run straight at him (i.e. when he's not getting washed by an OL). . Reminds me of the red flags that came with Barkavious Mingo at LSU when they played A&M and who's racked up all of 10 sacks in 6 years. . And to think some thought Mingo was the 2nd coming of DeMarcus Ware.

Mingo weighed about 225 trying to play end ,comp Aaron maybin. Polite has the size and the speed. Just a matter of putting it together, if he can.

Exactly right, coaches can talk up even the marginal players. Years ago, we had a scrub WR named Clyde Gates. He got hurt and missed the rest of one season. The following summer. then-coach Rex Ryan was talking up Gates again and raved that Gates was "All the way back (from injury)!" A few weeks later, the jets cut him and nobody else picked him up.
