Wow, what a stud CB- fast, quick feet, top end speed, great hands, and i have to emphasize MATURITY. Kid seems more mature and more ready to be a leader vocally and by example than both Milliner and McDougle who have already been in the league 2 and 1 years respectively. I know we need a QB and most recent mocks have us going with Mariota, but I think Waynes should be our pick after we trade down no more than 4 spots and pick up extra draft pick.

Oh yea I forgot, we don't need good corners in Bowles high pressure, high blitzing defense. Thanks for reminding me!

Don't let the 40 time fool you Marcus Peters is the best CB in the draft.

Why? Cornerback is possibly the biggest need on the team. If they find one they like, take him. Just because Idzik was a dumbass and single handedly dismantled the CB position doesn't mean the new regime should avoid addressing the biggest need in the 1st round.

I don't know anything personally about these prospects but I'd like for the Jets to have a good young CB to build around.

We will sign a CB in FA. I just read the Jets are interested in Byron Maxwell.

Taking a CB in the first is a risky, risky proposition.

Luckily there are no CBs worth a top-10 pick so we don't have to worry about this unless we trade back to 20 or so. It will also make us get CBs in free agency so we won't have to talk about this come April.

Unless we trade back and take him later it's not worth it.

This is the only way I'd consider picking him right now. I'd rather target Peters in the 2nd round.

I saw the workouts and he's impressive. But, he's not that big, 186 lbs. Doesn't look stout to me. Not the kinda guy I see them using the 6th pick on.
With Milliner and McDougle made of glass I don't see it.
Also, I believe CB is deep in this draft.
And they are gonna be spending, there's no doubt about that

We have enough young CBs with potential on the roster. I don't want to draft a CB, anywhere in this draft.

I like the approach we are rumored to be taking. Fill in holes on D through FA and build our nucleus on O through the draft.

    No, we do not.

    Not even close.

    Not at all.

I seriously doubt we draft A CB in Rd 1, since there is a lot of solid CBs available in Free Agency.

Right now, I believe we are going to address WR in Rd 1, since there are few solid WRs in Free Agency and one of the top wideouts, White & Cooper, will be available at #6.

Yes we do, what we need are two dependable vets while the young talents continues to develop/get healthy. How many high picks does this team need to devote to the CB position?

You're 100% right. We are probably going to get to at least one if not two Vet CBs in Free agency....Cro, K. Jackson & Maxwell are all in play.

I am not saying that we need to use a high draft pick on a QB every year but we are far from set at CB.

The fact that we used a high draft pick on Kyle Wilson, another one on Revis, and traded a second rounder for Cromartie means nothing since none of them is on the roster.

Millner was iffy before he got hurt.

Don't even get me started on the wasted McDougle pick.

If you want someone to agree that we should not use the #6 pick on a CB I am with you but don't kid yourself or anyone else by claiming that we have ANYTHING at CB on our roster that looks good.
