what are the scenarios for the jets to gain the 5th seed in the playoffs, likewise with the 6th seed?

The main one, if not only one, is: Jets win; Broncs lose.

If we win and Broncos lose we have two options. Colts win patiots win or lose. We play the colts. If the colts lose patriots win, we play patriots.

If we win Broncos win two options its the reverse of of we get to 5

So lets assume we win, Broncos win, Pats win and Colts win , we go to Indy? Well at least no elements for Chad to deal with.

So what if the Broncos lose next week? What are the scenarios for the other Wild Card contenders IE: Bengals, Jax, KC?

    Assuming we win:

We're the 5th if the Broncos lose.

Colts are the 3rd if they win, or the Pats lose. They win a tiebreak with the Pats. Colts can still gain the #2 seed with a Baltimore loss, so they have something to play for. Baltimore also plays at 4pm, so they'll actually PLAY.

I think the Colts would want to play us over Denver (Denver has a strong running game). However, they'd want the #2 seed even more. Denver also plays at 4pm, so if we win, they'll have to assume if they win they play us.

5th or 6th doesn't matter to me. Pats or Colts doesn't matter to me. Just win next week, and then we'll see what happens on the 6th or the 7th.

I would LOVE to play the pats and knock them out of the playoffs.

If we could just do that I'd be satisfied if we'd lose next game.
