I like Timmons. I really do not like Leonard or Hughes in rd2.

    For the Jets:

    1) If we take Timmons, he'd better put on 10-15 lbs. in the offseason. If Mangini can get him to do that, I like the pick. I really like his raw potential. If not, he's best suited to ILB in the 3-4 and we're stacked enough there. I like this pick more than I usually would have because most of the second-teir OLBs in the second are gone by 59 in your mock.

2a) BPA here, and I like Leonard. Nothing really wrong with this pick with how the board fell.

2b) I'd rather a WR here like Craig Davis or Mike Walker, who should be a mid 2nd-rounder but managed to fall in your mock. I don't like Hughes' lack of speed. Someone on here compared him to Derrick Strait and I couldn't agree more after seeing a few highlights.

As far as the draft goes, I'll look over it more, but here's a few initial thoughts:

    1. I'm not 100% sure that Minnesota passes on Quinn if he falls to them.

    2. I think that someone on the Browns would realize that they need their franchise QB and can live with Jamal Lewis this year and then gun for a RB in next year's RB heavy draft.

    3. I'd think there's about an 80% chance that Dallas grabs a WR in the first, which is a bigger need than G for them and they have Ginn, Jarrett, and Bowe sitting there just waiting to be picked. Glenn and TO are both getting old and TO's as unsure of a player as you're going to get.

    4. The rest of round 1 looks solid, good job.

    5. I'd bank on Zach Miller going in the second and he will most likely go before Ben Patrick.

    6. You have Ray McDonald going to both the Saints and Ravens at the end of round 2.

    7. Good point below by goldengod, switch Josh Wilson and Wright....Tennessee's gonna stay as far away from anyone with potential character concerns as possible.

    8. The rest of the picks in round 2 look solid to me and each can be justified in one way or another.

as for the rest of the draft:
1.the lions would be more of a sure thing for trading down than the skins...
2.i dont think the texans could explain passing on levi brown...especially for branch
    3. anderson's stock has fallen and i agree that the broncos would move up for him, but just later at #10...if not they would be likely to stay and draft ted ginn who drops too far in your mock...
    4. merriweather at 23 w/ almost every wr available would be a bad pick for KC
    5. and i hate the brian leonard pick....and in rd. 1 i would be hoping for bowe or ginn at 25(or moving down for someone who wants the great value given at wr....chargers/bears/etc)
    6. you have no qbs going in the late first or early 2nd...which should happen

I love this draft for the Jets. I don't know how anyone can hate the Brian Leonard pick; it's too good to be true, though, because he's probably not there anymore at 59. Dude is like the next Mike Alstott and will probably make our running game totally out of control. Throw Manuel Ramirez into this mix in Round 3 and you have yourself an insane foundation in the run game for years to come.

I really hope Timmons or Posluszny is still there should we keep the 25.

i like timmons/spencer in rd 1, the leonard is intriguing but if we can pick up him up and still guarantee that CB/OL will be addressed with 2b and 3 than i would love this pick. 2b if we go corner i would prefer a wilson/wright, i'm just not totally sold on Hughes, and manny in rd 3.
However i would prefer beekman/marten with 2b (BC bias maybe? ) and CB in rd 3 with the ability we have on the coaching staff to coach up the secondary. I'm not too familiar with the cb talent in 3 though.

All in all, i would be very happy if our draft went like yours, it would address almost all of our needs and seriously beef up our running game. I think that a WR would be more of a luxury at this point than Leonard, as it is the ground game that needs the most help. IMO a high quality wr is something that would be better addressed next year

NO HUGUES!, if we get him i will puke, the guy is another Derek Strait that is only fit for cover 2 defenses, he does not have the ability to play on an island

Leonard, while being a great player would be underutilized in our offense and therefore a waste. Thomas Jones and Leon Washington with 3rd stringer Houston is a great backfield, Barnes can block alright and we can look to McClain in the 6th round if we need another FB for competition

Timmons is also a fit for a 4-3 defense as opposed to ours, we need a big guy on the outside not a small fast player, if we want to build around Vilma in the 3-4 we need to surround him with size so he can make plays. While Timmons is a great player and my number 2 overall LB prospect, he just does not fit this team

I highly doubt the Bears would take Ted Ginn Jr. for the simple fact that half of his draw as a prospect is his returning abilities(they already have Hester, Bradley and Berrian). If Joe Staley were there, I think they'd draft him because Tait is 32 and Miller is 34. With their second pick, I would imagine another offensive lineman, but that may be wishful thinking.

heh..I predict if oakland takes johnson this draft will be turned on it's head. Of course we may never know it but all the teams trying to change positions will overload the phone system to the point that none of our phones may work all day.
