the mets have real good pitching probably best in NL east, but they do have to wonder about pelfrey, maine, santana is clearly the ace but if he gets hurt the mets are done. the yanks i think have the best rotation in the AL east, even if burnett goes down we can throw hughes in there and we will be fine, but its left up to debate.. im a yankee fan but im trying not to wear my yankee oakley shades in this. but to me the best rotation in new york is in the bronx.
conclusion: ROGERBLAZE DOESN'T LIVE UP TO SIG BETS AND IS A GIGANTIC POT-STIRRING BITCH. That is all.
Mets have the best starting pitcher of the two teams, Yanks should have more depth in the rotation. Yanks have the best BP pitcher of the two teams, Mets should have more depth in the BP. Pitching should be a strength for both teams.
You have that all reversed Vision. The Mets have the best bullpen in New York, and probably the AL East as well. Top 5 in the MLB if FROD isn't a FRAUD. Yankees have the better starters, the Mets are full of questions and potential.
Isn't that what I said? Mets should have a better BP but the Yanks have the best pitcher in the bullpen. The Yanks should have the better starting staff but the Mets have the best starting pitcher.
It is my understanding that they give an award to the best pitcher in the league at the end of each season, is this true?
You know, he has pitched & has proven to be a pretty darn good pitcher & certainly the best SP in NY. I do not think he need to, you know, pitch in spring training to be considered.
and we have a REAL great closer not a fantasy guy. I like Putz better than I like the vastly overrated Rodriguez.
People are vastly under estimating the Yanks pen. Mo came off one of his best seasons. Brain Bruney posted a 1.82 ERA. Mark Melacon is on his way up
We have the best starting pitcher in New York but you guys probably have the better rotation. Some things I would be concerned with if I were a Yankee fan. - A.J Burnett is vastly overpaid. He's had one great season and a couple of good ones. - Can Joba hold up in the starting rotation in his first full season there? And is he going to be as good in the rotation as he can be in the Pen? - What are you going to get out of Andy Pettite? - And you always have to wonder how guys are going to handle their first season in Ny (Sabathia and Burnett) As for the Mets the things I am concerned with are - Is John Maine going to be able to stay healthy and can he be a dependable starter? - Is Oliver Perez going to mature into a consistant pitcher? - Is Mike Pelfrey going to build off of his strong 2008? - Who is going to win the 5th starters job? - I'm not really concerned about Santana's elbow anymore but you never know. The Yankees on paper have the better starting pitching but the Mets have the best starter similar to how IMO the Mets have the better Bullpen on Paper but the Yanks have the best reliever.
