How many picks will Sanchez throw this year? Should have been a Poll - I don't know what happened. Connection reset or whatever - and the poll options are all gone. Choices are: A. Less than 10: He gets benched mid-season B. Less than 16: He actually does well, and ends the season C. About 16: Geno somehow injures himself, and so does GMac - so Sanchez is stuck in the starting QB spot, and he throws 1 pick a game. D. More than 16: Same situation, just more picks.
please stay on topic. As for the question, I think 11 INTs for the year, by year I mean week 6 at which point Geno will be starting and Sanchez will be watching.
He fumbled 24 times in the last two years. I think what you mean is led the league in lost fumbles each of the last two years with eight (16 total). Interstingly if Sanchez had not had such great luck in fumbles recovered in 2009-2010 he might have led the league in Fumbles lost all 4 of his years. Sanchez is also is the NFL all time leader in fumbles per game played. In terms pf total picks. He has been pretty consistent with with 18-20 every year. His one low year, below 18 picks, was in 2010 when he had 13 but he also led the league with 15 dropped INTs 6 higher than the second luckiest QB that year. If he just had been tied for the being luckiest QB in 2010 he would have had 18 picks or if had average luck in 2010 he would have had 22 picks. So I think its safe to say there is a solid reason why the 10 season was outside his historical norm of 18-20. add in his luck in fumbles recovered in 2010 with 9 total fumbles but only one lost and one can quickly see with average luck he likely ends up with around 26 total turnovers in 2010 similar to his 26 in 2011 and 2012.
You and Hobbes need to stay away. Between the two of you, we have 45 Sanchez is god threads already. If he plays a 16 game season, I say 18 picks, plus 5 fumbles. I really hope I'm wrong.
along the lines of poeman's post, i will say 14. what week he gets there will determine how good our season was
So, you don't think he'll have a good year? Nothing negative about it. The question is how many picks? You are making it negative. Pick 0 if that"s what you think.
Best realistic regular season scenario for Sanchez: 11 INTs over 16 games. (NYJ is probably in the playoffs.) Worst realistic regular season scenario for Sanchez: 5 INTs over 2 games (Geno starts the remainder of the season.)
I like how all these negative threads are allowed to stay, but positive threads are moved to the "Sanchez sucks" thread. Doesn't really make sense. Anyway, this is too hard to predict, for many reasons. Hard to know if he will start all 16 games, how Marty's offense will be, when Holmes will be back, etc. Should be a TD/INT ratio thread. I will say if he starts all 16: 23 TD, 12 INT. Out of those 12 INT, he will have one game with 3, and one with 4, so he actually will have 5 INT's in 14 games. Pretty good.
This is a very positive prediction. If Sanchez doesn't have a lot of fumbles lost and can keep his INTs under 15, then there's absolutely no reason to think that the Jets wouldn't be in the playoffs, or at least the hunt. Improved play helps both Sanchez and the Jets from an on-the-field and off-season perspective. TL;DR: Nice.
Except this is obviously a troll kind of thread to make. It's obviously not going inspire any kind of good debate. Fuckin retarded.
I'm going with per-game stats, I'll get sick to my stomach if I have to consider suckchez will play 16 games. Total INT - 1 per game Pick 6 INT - 0.5 per game Fumbles - 1.0 per game Fumbles lost - 0.75 per game Butt Fumbles - 0.125 per game
better question would be how many times does sanchez exhibit cognitive dissonance in post game interviews? *throws 5 interceptions* Sanchez: "Terrible but these things happen I thought I played pretty well the Lineman just made a better play you know" *fumbles the ball 4 times, 2x for FUINT* Sanchez: "Yea me and Nick were off there for a bit something we gotta work on a couple of those snaps were a little high, but listen that's my job to make sure I come down with it" Reporter: "one of those snaps you had the ball in your hand and you just dropped it on the ground" Sanchez: "Yea it's one of those things you know sometimes Colon's nice ass is right in front of your face and you kind of admire it for a second and you get lost and you're thinking damn that's Grade A steak big time ass that you and your homies would drop stacks for, but yea point being I gotta take care of football"
I say he throws 20+ TD's this year. At most 25, at least 18. He will have 2 or 3 rushing TD's. Close to hitting the 4000 yrd passing mark. I predict a good season with a good OC. Yeah, thats what I think. ...Oh Ints? Not that many.
