Game 1: Pelfrey vs. Brett Wife-beater Myers Game 2: Pedro vs. Jamie Moyer Game 3: Santana vs. Hamels advantage in Game 1, disadvantage in Game 2, maybe a slight advantage in Game 3.
Santana: 12-7, 2.71 ERA, 196 innings, 174 hits, 51 walks, 169 strikeouts, 1.15 WHIP Hamels: 12-8, 3.01 ERA, 203 innings, 164 hits, 46 walks, 174 strikeouts, 1.03 WHIP as you can see, Hamels hasn't gotten much help from his lineup or bullpen, either.
I can't imagine that there will actually be a game on Saturday - it's supposed to start at 4 PM, right when the torrential rainfall is supposed to start. If they're smart they'll postpone it today to a day game on Sunday (resulting in a day/night doubleheader), but Fox probably wouldn't be too happy about that.
What a pathetic effort....... Pel pitched good enough to win but unfortunately nobody else felt it was worth getting up for.
