Not saying it's not the pick, but did you just post WalterFootball and BleacherReport as proof?

Yes...Yes, I did. Got a problem? Wanna fight about it?

I am just looking at most mocks and it just mentions this big guy as our pick...Surely, someone must have come up with a topic on him. However, it does address one of our more important needs.

I think that Taylor will be more or less a backup plan for else. If all else fails and we don't get our faller (like last year) and we aren't able to move back, then I think Taylor will probably be the pick. But I expect we will get our faller, or move up/down.

Just because the non-expert guys making mocks are picking taylor doesn't mean the jets even like the guy...

Phil Taylor has battled weight problems in the past.....if the Jets traded back for him, I could live with that....but i don't want to see him selected by us in the 1st round.

No one knows "without a doubt" what our FO wants to do but our FO.

exactly, he has so many things working against him, a ton of red flags and the possible foot thing, I don't want him at 30 at all. If we can trade back, it's more acceptable, but I really think there are better fits for us this year than taylor. Hell I even like the NT's later on more than I like taylor...

My first choice is Justin Houston. SPEED off the corner and has added weight (without losing speed) to be diverse and play as a run stopper as well. Will probably be gone by Jets pick. Phil Taylor is the best noseguard in the draft but the foot issue concerns me.

Houston should be an early second rounder, packers could take the jump for him tho. Houston is limited because he's more of a 4-3 DE and will be limited in a 3-4 scheme. That Taylor foot thing is supposedly false, he'll be either a Chief, Jet, or possibly go to a 3-4 team in the second.

Ayers is the man around here.

    I think we're drafting only CB's.

Rick Gosselin (who is widely acknowledged as producing amongst the most accurate mock drafts) has the Jets taking Derrick Sherrod

while i respect gosselin, that would be a pretty tough pick to swallow especially since I am positive we are going to get our faller...

    Exactly.

The FO probably doesn't have a clue yet, cause they don't know who's available at 30.

I just felt overwhelmed with comments that strike me as nothing more then speculation based off of nothing.

Phil Taylor is OVER RATED. I don't get why some of these experts like him so much, the only thing that I have seen any of these experts express is that his build is what you look for in a 3-4 NT, so apparently that alone justifies taking someone this over-rated in the first?

    No.. No.. No..

I'm not saying this is impossible, but I truly can't see this happening. I would hate for this to happen. Fuck this scenario.

Have I made my stance on this guy clear? Ha
