  1. Could they be scouting Andre Branch?

    Thoughts?

From little i've read on him seems to be a great prospect, but if we don't trade down for him, would he be a reach a 16?

He would be a reach at 16, but a great trade down option. Some view him has the best passrusher in the entire draft. If he somehow made it to 47, he would be a great pick... Doubt that will ever happen though.

I could see him going in the around late 1st or early 2nd.

Could they be kicking the tires on Cody Sensabaugh too? He ran a 4.42 at combine and his cousin plays safety for the Cowboys.

I wouldn't make a big deal about it.

Thet were at Bama's pro-day yesterday and probably drove to SC.

Got an article on it, read anything into it you want

Clemson's Allen, Branch work out for NFL personnel

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen and defensive end Andre Branch worked out for nearly four dozen pro personnel on Thursday, including New York Jets coach Rex Ryan.
Allen, considered by the some top tight end available in next month's NFL draft, chose Thursday not to try and improve his disappointing time of 4.89 seconds he ran at the league's scouting combine two weeks ago in Indianapolis.
"I'm a ballplayer, flat out. I'm not a track guy,'' Allen said Thursday after Clemson's pro day. "My 40 time is what it is. If you watch me on film I play way faster. That's all that matters.''
Allen and Branch, the Atlantic Coast Conference leader with 10 1-2 sacks this past season, were the top attractions for the 44 NFL personnel on hand.
Ryan, in a green Jets jacket, laughed and smiled with other NFL evaluators. He also worked out Branch for a few moments before he and Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum rushed off once the nearly four-hour session ended.
"I've got to be somewhere,'' Ryan said as he left Memorial Stadium....

    (skip ahead)

Allen didn't talk with the Jets coach this visit, but met him two weeks ago at the combine and was instantly charmed by him. Allen said he was just like others out there who judged Ryan by some of his headline-grabbing antics and comments.
"When you meet him in person, you love this guy. He's great. I can definitely see how he gets his players to play for him,'' Allen said.
So Allen's ready to become a Jet?
"I can see myself with any team out there right now,'' Allen said with a laugh.

McShay now has Branch going 28th to GreenBay

An upgrade at TE is needed too.

I'm not big on Clemson players, very few ever become good NFL players.

I agree...they would be remiss in not doing their due diligence on every potential first rounder at least.

All of this "I dont like _____, because he went to ____" shit needs to end. I don't mean that as a slight against you jetsons, but I've seen a lot of this logic on here lately and it's ridiculous. To write a player off because of a few busts that wore the same college uniform is just lazy.

Mike Mayock reported from Clemson's Pro Day. He had good things to say about Andre Branch, who showed 3-4 teams today that he can drop effectively into coverage. Mayock predicted that Branch will come off the board between Picks 25-40 (from Walt's draft news recap)

  18. I saw that report which actually showed a short clip of Rex putting Branch through some coverage drills. Branch is a 1st round trade down option or a 2nd round trade up option.

I wonder if Allen would be a possibility in round 2.
