1. Cleveland Browns: Sam Darnold 2. Buffalo Bills (Via Trade up): Josh Allen 3. New York Jets: Josh Rosen 4. Cleveland Browns: Saquon Barkley 5. Denver Broncos: Bradley Chubb 6. Indianapolis Colts: Quentin Nelson 7. Tampa Bay Bucs: Minkah Fitzpatrick 8. Chicago Bears: Denzel Ward 9. San Francisco 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds 10. Oakland Raiders: Derwin James I feel very confident that the Bills are going to overwhelm the Giants with an offer of multiple 1st round draft picks and will have no option but to take the offer. I want to project a trade up for Baker Mayfield inside the top 10, but I don't know who will want to trade back and who will trade up. I think teams like the Bills, Dolphins, Pats, Cardinals, and Saints are all potential landing spots for Mayfield via a trade up. I also don't know who in the top 10 will be the one to actually move out of their spot. The Broncos and Colts seem like the most likely, but who knows.
Plausible, however, I don't see the Bills trading (as you say) multiple 1st rounders for Josh Allen. I just think there's too much risk there with Allen. Not saying he isn't worth a No. 2 or later selection by some team, but at the cost of two 1st round picks? I might be more inclined to consider it for Rosen or Mayfield, but Allen, no. Nevertheless, thanks for posting your mock!!!
I think the Bills would have to jump up into the top 10 before even thinking about trading up to 2 if that's what they want to do. Gettleman wants an impact player, one that he can picture wearing a gold jacket one day. He's more likely going to get that player in the top 10 whether it's a QB, RB, DE, or someone else.
Sure, but he has the number 2 pick. He can get select almost any player he wants. Wouldn't have the luxury with a later pick, like at 12.
If the Giants trade down, I see the Broncos, or possibly the Browns, as the only picks they would consider dropping to, assuming they don't want a QB or Barkley, and I think they want one of those two things. First I think the Giants may well take Rosen. In fact, I think the Browns my take Rosen, and if that's the only QB the Giants like they might agree to trade down, but again, only if they don't want Barkley. Given the number of teams who want a FQB, this draft promises to be very volatile and unpredictable.
I am not going to pretend to have put much thought into the draft, but I think it would take at least TWO first rounders and TWO second rounders for the Giants to trade out of the #2 spot (to a lower pick still in the top 10 range) UNLESS the Browns take Saquon #1 overall which could net the Giants even more picks..... How much draft Ammo do the Bills have this year and next to move all the way up to #2 pick?
Bills have 2 first, 2 seconds,2 thirds, a 4th,5th and 6th this year. A 1st,2nd and 3rd , 2 4ths, a 5th and 6th and 3 7ths next year.
Yes. But I think if they really want to move up to the Giants spot at 2, they will have to still find a trade partner in the 6 to 8 range first, then move up, similar to what the Eagles did to land Wentz. They definitely have the ammo to get it done.
I don’t think they can get inside the top 8 without giving up 12 + 1st 2019 Then they will need to give up 8 + 22 + 2nd + 3rd to get to # 2. It could happen but that’s a lot of wheeling and dealing I think if they move to #2 they will get there from 12. 12+22+ 2019 1st + 2nd + 3rd should get it done
Don't believe the Giants will drop to 12. The Bears, Tampa, even the Broncos could be trade partners. The 12, a second and 3 gets the bills much higher. Then the improved pick, the 22, a second and 3 rd this year and next year's 1 or 2 should be enough to get the Giants pick(2 overall).
I don’t know man... I think it’s going to be a kings ransom.. probably more than the RG3 trade to get from 12-2 no matter how they get there
Just look at the Eagles and how they got up for Wentz. The Bills have the draft capital to move up. The only question is, do they want to use it to fill holes in the roster of go all in for a QB. I don't think McCarron is the answer.
The only question is: do they think their FQB is there? If the answer is yes, I believe they go all in and trade to #2. I just hope their guy is Allen.
I agree the Giants are in a great position. Lot of options and flexibility. Plus holding on to that pick till the last minute just makes it more valuable.
I hope that they are unable to trade up. I don't want them getting a QB. I want them stuck with McCarron. I fear that they would take Rosen or Mayfield.
I think the Bills might stay at 12. They have a lot of picks but also a lot of needs. Look at their OL as 3 starters last year are gone. Glenn(traded to Cin), Wood and Incognito retired. Plus they need help at LB, WR. I could see them using the picks for needs rather than going all in for a QB.
