I am going on record right now that Chad will throw for 300 yars and 2 TDS this week. Look at this Texans defense. The Texans are ranked in the bottom of the NFL with their pass defense. This is the same "defense" that allowed Bills WR L.Evans to go for 2 TD's and 265 yards receiving last week. They also lost their DT Travis Johnson this week.

Chad will hook up with J-Co many times on Sunday. If Losman and Lee Evans can torch this D, Chad, Coles, and J-Co will too.

I am ready for that, and hope your right. I am a Chad supporter and am not calling for his head, however, he is eventually going to have to throw for 300 yds and 2 TD's against a solid D like Jax or Chi.

300 yards is asking for a bit much. Considering he's only had 4 300 yard games in his CAREER, 2 of them coming this season at the beginning of the year, those wouldn't be "bounce-back" games, they'd be career games.

Maybe 225 yards and 2 TDs, for Pennington, that's about the best you can reasonably expect.

I think Chad will play well too, but why does a QB have to throw for 300 yards anymore? I would rather run for 150 yards and throw for 200, we would win a lot more games. Brees threw for 450 and it didn't matter.

People are just looking for a direct solid performance out of him to get rid of doubt. Its tough, but Chad has never been the type of take over the game QB like Peyton, Favre, McNabb etc... He is a team guy, he needs to play sound football and make good decisions. If he throws for 1 TD and 0 INT with 180 yds, I would take it, as long as we win.

DeMeco Ryans might have something to say about that. Not to mention an old aquaintance renewed in Brick and Mario Williams. Ryans is playing out of his skin and for my $$$ will be DROY.

I would hope he can have a good game. J.P. Losman was throwing bombs all over the place against Hou.

Unfortunately, it's not enough for him to win according to some people around here. He has to "take over games" and "win them all by himself". Of course, there are very few QB's like that, but those are the expectations. Personally, I just want to win. If we run for 200 yards and he throws for 125 yards, I don't really care, as long as we win. Some people need to see 300 yard games and 30 TD's out of a QB to be satisfied.

You do realize that between Chi and Jax they have given up only one 300 yard game in 20 games this year. (Wash vs. the Jags. Wash lost)

Yet that is what you expect of Pennington????

If the jets are going to bounce back then this is the defense to do it to. The Texans have played Jasonville really tough and aren?t push over so we better have our A game or It?s another crazy Monday!

Look around the league at how many QBs keep their jobs when they have 70 yard 3 INT performances a few times a year, but almost never a 300 yard game. Even the absolute worst QBs in the league are capable of a 300+ yard game occasionally, and their lows just aren't as bad. If you're going to go out there and blow games, you have to go out there and win games too. Man, even Joey Harrington has 300+ yard games, I really don't know what else to say.

There is not that many games that are won against good teams when the quarterback throws for 300 yards. We never won against NE the 1st time and Penny had 307. Yard do not matter, effeciency, turnovers, touchdowns, period.

Ok, well, he doesn't get TDs, he turns the ball over, and when you throw 35 times and can't even manage 300 yards, your efficiency is not very good either. If you only throw 20 times a game then sure, you don't need that yardage, but how many good teams can you beat in this league with that type of total?

Peyton Manning seems to lose against the Patriots when he throws for under 300 yards and win when he throws over that amount. The Chargers seem to win with running and passing. Why does Chad get to suck?

So dumb. So so so dumb. If Chad played for any other team you homers would be killing him, but since he wears green he is one of the best QBs in the league no matter what stats he puts up.

300 yards on 35 attempts would be a fantastic YPA. The problem with Chad is not only does he not manage 300, it's more like 150, which is just awful.

I agree with that. All i am saying is the 300 yards is a stat that does not equate to wins. The colts D sucks so Manning has to always get in a shoot out. We will not win shootouts period. Pennington has to get back to being efficient and taking care of the ball and everyone should be happy. If you want 300 yards, get Marino and 0 superbowls.

No that's wrong too. Getting 300 yards doesn't mean you're in a shootout, if your defense showed up it means you got a blowout win. That's why we never ever blow out weaker teams, it's always a struggle for us against weaker teams, and we just get blown out against the better ones. Besides, you can get 300 yards and win 24-17, does that mean your defense sucks? No, that's not really what a shootout is, if your D allows 17 points in the NFL that's usually considered a solid performance. It's just with Pennington, everyone demands an absolute monster performance week in and week out just to give us a chance. That simply is NOT winning football. If Marino had the Jets teams Pennington has had in his tenure, he'd probably have at least 1 ring. I don't think Marino's defenses were every really that great. But seriously, if you're going to compare Pennington to Marino, how does Marino lose out? Pennington can't even get near the Super Bowl, at least Marino got to one and lost to an all-time great.
