He's a winner...and while he isnt perfect, anyone who wants to bash him now, at least for the miami first half, is crazy

He's very tough. Great job by him to battle and still come out with a win.

That makes sense. He was brutal in the first quarter. Conditions or no conditions, he was horrid, but he did pick it up after that to play pretty well given the conditions.

No question he has the heart of a champion. I don't think the darkest darksider here will deny that. The argument about his arm strength is never going to go away, and I'm glad he didn't hide behind the illness to justify his poor first half.

Chad definitely gets extra credit for this. I'm still not happy with the 12 foot high passes, but there is no question that we are a better TEAM with him as our QB right now.

Watching the game Chad did look really pale, I thought to myself that man needs to get some sun...makes you appreciate his heart and dedication all the more...I don't remember Abe looking that pale when he had his tummy ache in Oakland:grin:

Pennington has never appeared in every regular season game, even 2002. He appeared in 15 games in 2002, so unless the season was 1 game short, it's yet another instance what Krouse is awful at her job. (proof: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=2149)

Very good article. I know you didn't find it in the Star-Ledger. They are horrible with Jets coverage. Chad being ill does account for somethings. All in all, I think he did pretty good considering he wasn't feeling too good.

I wonder if Chad was too close to MaGahee in Buffalo????????

I expect he'll be getting a written apology from the ESPN crew for attacking his performance when he was sick with the flu. Yeah right.

    Assholes.

Man, everybody knows how sick you are when you have the flu, Chad never said a word about being sick. He is a champ in my book. Now he can recover and kick ass against the raiders. Allentown Ernie.

Why didn't the great 'journalists' like Tafoya, Kolber, Tony Kornhole or Joe Thighbone point this out before they started trashing pennington.

They have two idiotic sideline reporters and all they can do is interview the Williams sisters about their favorite football team. What a sick joke ESPN is!

Kornholer said his "dog has a better throwing arm." This morning's Star-Ledger quoted Chad as basically blowing it off, but you're right, the guy owes him a public apology. Then he should be summarily canned for being so unprofessional.

I love this guy. I'm not gonna say it's an excuse or anything but it's obvious something was wrong with him. This clears a lot up.

Haha, I was thinking the same exact thing watching the game.

Where's RaiderJeaux now to tell us how this is a lie and "Pennington couldn't handle Miami's mediocre defense and will be shut down by Oakland's SB-caliber passing D"
