So can we catagorize this as an excuse for the Patriots losing to the "lesser" Jets? Funny how a loss in your home field illicits a million dollar procedure as a way to make an excuse for a loss to a rival. Tom Brady looks better covered in mud anyway

I dont know if they are replacing thier field, but the grass was awful Week 1, inside the hashes were brown the first game.

No... They thought about doing this prior to their game against the Colts and decided against it. I think they learned after being burned on the field conditions once more that it was needed.

    Lame. I hate artificial surfaces.

I always thought the Pats had a bad history of playing on artificial turf. But that may just have been Vinatieri or mabey the opposite

Their problem was more with the drainage than the turf itself. I almost could see puddles in the field. It was almost a carbon copy of our old quagmire at the Meadowlands.
