With Kerley out for a few weeks, Holmes still out and uncertain with his return, and Hill being a no show week in and week out, is it worth giving Collie a call? Or should they not even bother?

I've heard from some patriots fans that he might have torn his acl. I haven't heard anything official, but I can't think of any non-injury related reason they dropped him.

How many more receivers are we going to pull of the streets, I feel like were running a wideout shelter here. I think we stick with what we have or sign Michael Campbell back. I heard Spadola got dropped from Miami maybe we take him back.

Austin Collie just has a minor MCL sprain and is confident he'll be re-signed by the Patriots in a couple weeks.

I'd rather keep giving Salas and Nelson looks. Winslows returning and hopefully Cumbo comes back strong. Maybe even give Josh Cribbs more looks catching the ball.

Dropping $30-$40 million per year on 2-3 players (elite QB, elite WR, and elite TE) is not necessary.

Having a good O-line and running game that posts 150+ yrds/game and the same good O-line and game manager under center with half decent receiver posting 150 yrds/game gives us the 300+ yrds/game, a bunch of FGs and the occasional TD to win most games. Plus the good running game almost guarantees winning the TOP battle every game.

Especially when combined with the nations top defense holding other teams to under 50 yrds/game on the ground and under 300 yrds/game in the air.

O-Line is an area that needs to be addressed this season.
You can never have enough quality O-Lineman.

I realize it's much easier on fans to have only 1 or 2 players to focus on when determining wins and losses, predicting outcomes, or even watching the games.

Having half a team that requires focusing on when trying to figure out the Jets is a much more daunting task, and not for the casual fan or faint of heart. Both of which are amassed on TGG.

This is probably why the media has so much trouble figuring out the Jets. You can't stop after analyzing one or two great players.

Don't be lazy like the media.

Pats got some production & cut him once his health went down. It's a little cold for the player but it was right move for their organization. A healthy Austin Collie is definitely worth bringing in. Unfortunately, that's not the Austin Collie that's out there on the market (otherwise, he'd still be with the Pats). Don't bother.

Since when does a half decent receiver post 150 yds per game?

That's not a sustainable formula. Remember week 1 when our run game was shut down and pocket kept collapsing? You need a viable number 1 receiver and TE that defenses have to game plan for.

Hes honestly nothing special. Peyton Manning made him look great in 2009 but this guy would be a nobody if it wasnt for the attention he got for being on a 14-0 team.

No I would not look at him, Id have more faith in the youth. His career hasnt been the same since he got killed in Philly.

No. That noggin of his is damaged goods as is his wheel. Definitely a broken down model with limited mileage left in him. He's one hit-to-the-head away from "TILT!"

I think Salas & Nelson were diamonds in the rough that Idz found. Especially Salas. Its worth keeping them both, even with Sal's injury history. They could both become big time players under Morningwood's system.

I honestly thought he was going to retire because of his head issues.

I don't think he brings anything sustainable to the table so I'd rather stick with Nelson and Salas.

And keep throwing to Baby Gronk!
