Pats game is gonna be HUGE...

We've beaten the Titans, Dolphins, Lions and Bills.

This defense won't cut it against legit teams.

 

Riiiiight...our defense basically shutout the Pats in the second half of the first meeting. They can do it...

 

And it was absolutely awful in the first half.

 

The Jets were down 24-0 on the merits of their play. They then managed a nice little comeback in front of a hometown crowd that was as loud as they've been since the Monday Night Miracle.

We'll be 10 point dogs going into Foxboro and that'll be an accurate line.

Lets worry about beating the Browns first before moving on to the bye and the Pats

 

Well most people have already wrote off the chance of the Browns beating us already. I wouldnt underestimate the Jets power to lose on the road

 

If people are giving this Browns game to the Jets, then something weird is likely going to happen.

And not to get farther ahead, but people out here are already getting me going about Jets-Bears in a few weeks! I'm seriously dreading that game unless we can figure out how to rush Grossman and also limit Jones and Benson.

 

We have the chance to be 5-3 but we are staring at 5-5 in 2 weeks unless we shore up the defense. We have a chance against the Pats, but we're gonna have to play all 4 quarters.

 

our defense has shown spurts of excellence and other spurts of horrible play. we held peyton manning 3.5 quarters of the game. there was one point in the 4th quarter than he had less than 100 yards passing. we all know the ending, but what i'm saying is that our defense has shown that it can play well. we just need it to be for a full 4 quarters.

 

When they were up big, and had no reason to push the ball hard.

Let's not forget we have a game this week. No talk about future games please.

 

We aren't beating the Pats we are beating crappy teams not good teams. That's okay since our schedule is full of crappy teams. The Pats are better than us on both sides of the ball, you don't win those games on the road.

 

Focus on Cleveland...

This has letdown written all over it...BYE week 1 game away, late game in a hostile environment after daylight savings time...

Cleveland is the opponent.

 

Games against teams like the browns remind me of games agaisnt guy's like akili smith(Bengals),and cordell stewart(steelers). These guy's sucked on a regular basis and some how looked like all pro's when playing the jets. We still won the bengals game but lost to cordell at the tail end of his tenure with the steelers.We must jump all over these guy's early and often like the detroit game.I hope a cuncussed charlie fry isnt going to join the ranks of those other guy's.A must win at this stage of the season,so the bye week can be used entirely for preparation for the pats.

 

The jets are 2-1 on the road, losing only to J-Ville.....

Cleveland is not J-Ville...Although they have about the same amount of toothless tramps.:up:

 

I dont think it will be huge (as long as we win this week)

5-3 and a game we SHOULD lose.

I think its a bonus game.

 

It'll only be huge if we do what we are supposed to do and concentrate on THIS week.

 

I would accept this if it weren't for the Colts game. Our D, which I'm obviously not thrilled with or anything, gave the Colts the toughest game they've had so far. Who's to say we can't beat NE? In a league where Arizona was a makeable FG away from Bears, you just can't say there is an unwinnable game on our schedule.

 

If someone offered me 5-5 right now I'd take it. We're staring 4-6 in the face if we underestimate Cleveland.
