Ramsey was on ESPN Radio yesterday and i didnt see any threads on it so i figured id start it. He said that there has been so much going on already in New York. He said him and Pennington became very close right before the draft based on the fact that neither wanted Leinart to be drafted. They were both a little scared the Jets FO had no faith in them. Him and Pennington have been in the film room everyday, working extra hours. He has been told that there will be a competition between him and Chad, with Clemmons working under them. He said nothing about Brooksy and his situation.
Could we expect less from a classy guy like Pennington? Say what you want about his arm strength, the velocity of his throws, but if you can't root for him because of his personality alone, then something is wrong with you. I may not believe in him as a player, but I'd be damn proud to have Chad associated with our franchise for years to come.
wow...great post. I have always felt the same way. Pennington always brings his best, and never complains. He just works hard. He takes responsibility for his mistakes, unlike the Mannings, and everytime he is on the field, he is out there to win. He is a great leader and just on that alone, i want him out there starting. It is not the most talented guy who wins, but the guy who wants it the most
No you wouldn't. Pennington mentally is a great player. Physically he sucks, but mentally he could have been an upper echelon QB. I don't even know that you can fault Harrington, it's not like the Lions have ever been good.
we will see about that, he will get another chance or two in this league but i think he will never be more than a #2 qb. as far as ramsey goes maybe his second chance works out well....
