I'm watching the game now. I'm surprised he was able to even move. It looked bad. Paterno Hurt During Game at Wisconsin Legendary Coach Suffers Leg Injury in Second Half AP Sports MADISON, Wis. (Nov. 4) - Penn State coach Joe Paterno was injured when one of his own players ran into his left leg in the second half of the Nittany Lions' game at Wisconsin on Saturday. Freshman tight end Andrew Quarless caught a short pass for a first down along the Penn State sideline, and tumbled into Paterno's leg. Paterno remained standing for several minutes before having to be helped to the bench and having his leg bandaged by the Penn State training staff. The 79-year-old Paterno remained on the bench as his team drove into Wisconsin territory while trailing the Badgers 10-3. Paterno had to leave the sideline in Penn State's game at Ohio State in September after he became ill. He returned briefly at halftime, then left before coming back at the start of the fourth quarter. "I've never walked off the field early," Paterno said after that game. "I've had some kind of a bug during the week. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't like to take pills or see a doctor. I thought I'd be fine."
He got carted off. That game was embarrassing. Morelli holds on to the ball way too long and can't see the field for shit. We've got to start putting points on the board.
Yea, what a sorry ass game. Morelli had a baaaaaaaaad day. I just don't think he's tall enough. Most of the defenders had him beat by at least 6 inches.
Seriously. Those are some big bastards Wisconsin's got on that line. All 6'6" and 300lbs. Morelli's got to stop telegraphing all of his throws. He locks in and doesn't check down to other recievers. And how does Hunt only have 10 rushes? On a happier note, congrats to Poz for getting the record.
Morelli looked scared to death all game. Poz and Dan Connor are going to go pretty high in the draft. Sean Lee too. Is Tony Hunt a Jr or Sr? I don't recall.
Strange year for JoPa. Running off the field to hit the john. Getting carted off the field for injury. Firsts for him, I'm guessing.
Yea, first he battled the flu then he get's whacked on the side line. The local rag is reporting that he has a hyper-extended knee injury and 2 gashes on his shin. JoePa will be 80 in a few days. Some here in Penn State land think he should retire, other's like myself, don't want to see him go quite yet.
I don't know why they keep saying it was the PSU TE. He hit Joe Pa's lower right leg, and the Badger defender put his helmet into his left knee. Not that it really matters.
Count me among those that wishes he'd retire. Just for his own sake. The staff basically runs the show, but word has it Greg Schiano waiting for this job. Might be a pretty good hire.
