I would be thrilled with his 1st RD Projection for the Jets, but I like his 2nd RD Projection as well I think he did right by the Jets  http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d817560ca&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
Not thrilled with Demaryius Thomas in Round 1. We already spent a 3 & 5 on a #1 WR. Thomas is a High Risk/Reward player.....not a good route runner. I'll take my chances on a mid round slot receiver.....Barnes, Decker, Shipley, White ....or Andre Roberts at the end of Rd 2. 2011's draft has alot of great Wideouts. I'd rather spend our Rd 1 pick on Kindle.
Looks good to me...though, given the fact that Tate started as a RB and we need a 3 that can become a one I think Tate is the better choice, and he's got him going to St.L. several picks later. I guess thats up to what the film really shows.
Charles Davis has us taking the same player in his updated mock http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d8175fbd9&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
Kindle is long gone in that Mock, he went to Miami at 12. I rather have Kindle too, but he wasn't an option.
Davis basically said the same thing I did....."Risk/Reward". We have Edwards and Cotch and we can get a good slot receiver later. If the Edward's project doesn't workout in 2010...we can look for a #1 wideout next year. If we stay at #29....Kindle would be the best fit as the BPA to fill a need....based on Kirwan's mock.
I think Bay Bay's a good route runner, he just didn't have to run conventional routes in that offense. Like I said in another thread, the guy had two years of experience in a pro-style offense before Paul Johnson was hired and switched to the triple option. I think he is. A lot of scouts have him as their top 3-4 OLB. The guy's got experience standing up and he's been very productive, especially against the run.
We can agree to disagree.....I don't see Thomas as a good route runner. I don't believe a WR in Rd 1 is a smart move.
I'm not high on drafting a receiver in the first round either, because that's not really what this team needs...however, if Thomas is on the board when we pick and a few of the better defensive prospects aren't, it'd be a smart move.
If they can't find a trade down, they might not have any choice. Much better they get Thomas than Tate.
WW, I agree with Mr. E that Kindle is worthy of the TOP 15, but IMO the Miami projection is Kirwin's worst projection There are two things I feel relatively sure about in this draft ... 1. With the release of Bulger the Rams are locked in on Bradford 2. If Dan Williams is on the board at #12 (as he is in Kirwin's mock), I'll be shocked if the fins don't take him Miami is so desperate at nose tackle, IMO its not a stretch to say they cannot even compete for a playoff spot in 2010 if they don't land a "STARTING NT" in this draft
If WR was our biggest need I say go all for it and move up 2 spots but since its not it wouldnt be worth it and D. Thomas as a consolation prize is well worth the hold at 29.
